Here's a quote from Al-Quadin Muhammad from the ND Rivals article out today..

"Earlier this month he took an official visit to Miami. Alabama played host over the summer. Those two along with Notre Dame and Ohio State comprise a group from which Muhammad plans to choose when making an announcement during the telecast of the Army Bowl. Miami did well for itself on the visit but Muhammad isn’t giving away anything in terms of possible leaders.

I feel as though I could be (at Miami),” Muhammad said. “You know, comfortable. If I was to go to that school I could be comfortable for four years. That’s also with Alabama and Notre Dame even though I didn’t get to visit Notre Dame yet. I feel as though they’re all great schools. Academics come first and they all have great academic programs for student-athletes.”

The ND ***gots I've seen say that he's going there unless his academics aren't up to their standard and we're his number 2. Whatever that implies.

Rutgers signed 3-4 of his teammates last season and were considered his #2 (behind Notre Dame) just weeks ago. Right there tells you how quickly things can change once a kid gets on campus.

What you hope for is that the kid just got along with the kids at Miami well. ND is a great program and school but the culture is much different, and not always for everyone. He might have been sold on ND from a business perspective but then came down here and realized he could get a great education and be prepared for the NFL, all the while being around peers he related to more. At least we can dream.......

It implies that they're about to lose a kid they've thought they'd get the entire recruiting season and want an excuse.

Man this would be a HUGE ******* pull. Huge. This guy is elite. But yeah, that article doesn't really say much.

From browsing the ND sites though, they say he is going to plan an ND visit after his announcement. In that case it seems like it would be ND; strange to announce for Miami, Alabama, etc. then go visit ND.

Still don't think we get him and the ND fans still feel confident, but hey you never know

I said it before, but if he doesn't visit ND, he ain't going to ND.

He might have been blown away by his visit to UM. He's a Jersey guy, and a lot of Jersey guys fit in well down here.

Wow this young man mentioned BAMA with Great Academics in the same sentence followed by ND & UM as if Bama was on the same level. Someone is lying to this young man about Bama academics and Saban graduating his players with worth while degrees; if they graduate at at all. Son come to UM and do your thing!

Go Canes!

Apparently the article says that he is setting up a visit to ND after his Army game, and that is why the ND fans feel good about their chances. Makes sense I guess

If he visits ND, then you'd have to agree that they are the favorite.

May God have mercy on the souls of college football if we can land AlQaeda Muhammad.
