When those 3 where in the game together on some 1st & 2nd downs it was the best group i have seen. They were getting more pressure and hitting the Qb.

They had kamalu up front with chick and porter and they had aqm and mccord at OLB. Mccord ****ed up some but was able to get pressure on the QB and got a strip sack.

In the 3rd quarter i even seen d'onofrio do some he hasn't done all year. When uva had 3 Wrs instead of moving a LB over to cover and giving up the run & pass he brought the safety down to cover.

They should have given these guys more reps together on 1st & 2nd downs vs vt and duke. They could have big games vs pitt because their o-line isn't good and savage is a statue in the pocket.

U make a great point but put them in the whole game there motors wont be the same in the 2nd half. We got good parts in the future now its time to build the depth. Next year u will see a boss line at least on the ends with chad thomas and those guys, they will be backing up these guys and there wont be a drop off. Its called being patient and not ruining young players.

Kamalu, AQM and a Mccord are just better players then green and chick. We need to get these JAGs off the field. Chick will be better if he moves to dtackle next year at 6'4 295 pounds. Then highsmith, Rodgers, green, cornelious,Gaines need to go. At some point you have to go by guys natural talent and not just seniority.

And that's the 3-4 I expect next yr. Just back out Porter for Pierre...

I think next year u will see a ton of improvement overall with the Defense because of the line, Im still skeptical about the DT situation unless we get Cory Johnson to go with Wyche. I cant see how we will be bad next year with a different four front thats D1 caliber and mature.

I have been unhappy with things just as much as the next guy, but you came up with this distinction by watching them on a handful of snaps against a terrible terrible UVA team?

we need at least 2 juco's. moten, valentine, etc need to be brought alone slow. dt's dont come in as true fresh and play at a high level. i think earl moore can contribute as a back up.

What i came up with is that they are more athletic than the guys that start in front of them. It doesn't matter how bad or good a team is you can see a difference in athleticisism.

I dont care what anybody says..I will not be happy if these 3 are not in our starting lineup next year. I said this in another thread..That means something went TERRIBLY wrong development wise (And I will blame the staff) if McCord as a JUNIOR is not a starter. Kamalu too. AQM is just a beast that shouldnt be taking a back seat to anyone on that roster. JMO.

I honestly think our coaches looked at the schedule and decided to stick with what was safe hoping to sneak into the ACCCG. I think the last two games of this year will be very telling. If we see different personnel groups (younger, more talented guys) and more aggressive schemes, then I will assume that was the case and at least maintain some hope of change next year.

They were on the field together in the 4th when UVA was moving the ball up and down the field on us.

Now I don't think I was because they were on the field but it was still ugly to watch.

It was nice to see them out there. I just have no faith that we will put these guys in position to make plays.

I'd rather have Green in there than McCord on 1st and 2nd downs.

I don't get the criticism of Green. If anyone has outperformed expectations, it's him. That is the one decision I don't question, at least when we were playing for something meaningful. Watch the FSU game. McCord's lack of discipline handed FSU two critical 1st downs when we were competing. Again, I expect(hope), now that we really have nothing to lose, that we will see the younger guys plays significantly more minutes.
