But you did and if you think those in Tallahassee or Gainesville covet Cooney on their staff you are sorely mistaken. As stated by numerous other
posters Cooney had an in with Pope, the sole purpose of his Miami hire. What had Cooney accomplished as a high school coach in Miami?, and
please don't say he won a state championship at Southridge, that was 100% Billy Rolle and his ability to recruit kids to SR to play for him, that team
was loaded and offensively could not put 8 plays together, it was a 75 yard run or pass, outrageous talent no scheme whatsoever.

More SR players at UCF then at Miami, and of the SR players at UCF and Miami - most of them belonged to other high schools before
attending SR

That’s true, but Tyrique wasn’t really a “Southridge kid”. So that wouldn’t have been the main reason he chose Miami if he did. Idk if Miami has recruited any other SR kids for this or next class.
 
He really earned that promotion. And Caneshades is right. He’s an outstanding recruiter. He killed it this year.

I have been raising this question since day one. Recruiting folks are supposed to actually get players to sign. We have the 42nd ranked class because we were given the middle finger by all of our top targets.

It’s news to me that he’s a recruitor guy. Only guy he brought was Pope.
