I'm amazed that some people can't seem to see something this obvious.
Well no, we have beaten top #19 ranked teams as recently as last year. When was the last time we beat a top #6 team?Given the past 20 years, just winning this game will be a step in the right direction.
Not saying they’re world beaters, but they’re sure as **** better than Southern Miss and consistently give P5 teams trouble. Thats really not debatableUNC put up 70 points on them. Who says they're good?

Yes! Although we were extremely fortunate to escape that one.For context, we beat that same respectable team last year
What effect would that be? It's news if we win, no matter what they are ranked. If we lose, it's the same old Miami. ***** them. Just win the game.If they don’t, then a (potential) win next weekend doesn’t have nearly the same effect.
If "just winning games" is the key then we are fine cause we have won the 2 we played...... but the reason you not counting them is cause those teams arent ranked...But it doesn't matter what they are ranked. We just have to start winning games.

Program perception is always important. A Miami that knocks off a top 10 team becomes a top 10 team and is in the national conversation - that kind of program has advantages in recruiting. If we were in a position to care about SOS style points, then A&M's ranking would be relevant. We just need to beat an SEC team on the road.
Are offensive coordinator better wake up. This big 10 ain't working.A&M really isn’t that impressive…but neither are we! Lol need that Mario special like he did last year walking into Columbus and slapping those Bucks with an L.
Exactly.I hope they lose, if we don’t handle our business moving forward then it really doesn’t matter what A&M is ranked.

So if we beat them as the #6 team and then lose to Virginia Tech, what did we gain?I just hope you guys understand that saying "it doesn't matter just go 12-0" while also not predicting us to go 12-0 implies that the ranking absolutely does matter.
