Anyone else making the trip to Pittsburgh?

Got some cheap tickets on StubHub, never been to the city, wondering if any other 'Canes know anything about Pittsburgh or are going to try to brave the cold for a road game in November?

there are more bars per square foot in Pittsburgh than place in the world. Cool town my wife is from there. But were going to my parents for Thanksgiving in Virginia so I doubt it.
 
I'll be there. My brother and sister both live there. Some good bars around the stadium. Love going to Fatheads but you have to cross over on the ferry to get there. My brother's buddy is a huge pitt fan and the last time I caught a ride out there with him so I could go to the game. I was loving it when Miami beat the **** out of them. I'm hoping my brother can hook me up with good tickets again this year. I'll be sporting the canes gear!
 
I will be there. Pittsburgh is no Miami by any stretch but the area around the stadium is really nice. Much much better in warmer weather but oh well.

Pittsburgh is a beautiful city, really nice. Would strongly recommend you to give yourself a night or two to walk the streets. Pitt, Duquesne and Carnegie Mellon are within a couple of miles of each other and gives that area a very cool atmosphere.

I live in the Burgh and fans are delusional and rude like the fans of fsu and uf. The only thing is when they start losing they stop talking so I guess that is a plus.

What are the chances of it being a noon game? I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger and flying in that morning, but if it's a noon game I'd be cutting it really close.
 
I was at the last Canes game at Pitts old stadium (what a dump). Met a bunch of crazed Canes fans tailgating. Had a great time.

Did a 3 year stretch there during law school... Double Day burger joint/bar is worth hitting right across the river from stadium. Blush is also very good for night time entertainment. Also, a cab ride over to Oakland is worth the fare. 3 colleges worth of dark haired busty northern girls all within a half mile or so. Plenty of cool bars to hit (Fuel & Fuddle is a cool spot with tons of draft/bottle craft beers to enjoy).

Pittsburgh has really remade itself into one of the really nice cities in the midwest/northeast. It was truly a dump 20 years ago, but it's a very nice city now. I'll be there if I can, but not sure yet.
