I agree. We have at least 5 open spots open after we didn't sign a full class and Tucker recently left. No reason not to use them for a 1 year rental when it wont affect recruiting numbers for 2017. At worst you get a little competition and make Redwine and Mike Jackson earn their stripes or fill a ST spot.

So let me get this right Miami passed on 2015 DB Davante Davis from booker T Washington right here in our backyard. The kid goes to Texas and as a true freshman beats out Junior bryson echols for playing time, and now Echols is in play to come UM.

That is just sad our DB situation has come to this, Davis should be a Cane and not this potential retread of a Texas cast off DB. But due to UM's situation I would say take him if there are no other late unsigned 2016 recruits.

Not to defend Golden but yeah...DDavis was his prototype DB and Golden wanted him bad. But Davis knew better then to come here at that time. Carlton Davis too.
