Any big news???

I feel like VT stole a lot of our thunder by securing the night game over us. The OB and now The Rock were/are a completely different animal at night.
Just to have it result in a ND 45-23 beatdown, despite Miami vs FSU being one of the biggest rivalries in football and would’ve gone down to a thriller, any excuse to make ND look dominant I guess

ND is one of the darlings of the ncaa and espn. Anything to get them on tv. Watch them fall on their face again.

cant remember the last time i cared this little about recruiting. not that i don't think it matters; of course it does. it's just that i have confidence that richt & co. will continue to bring in the type of players that we need to win a championship.

Is there any big news regarding recruiting? Its been really quiet and I find it strange that we 70+ recruits at the game and not a single commitment. Good that we had so many their or bad that none committed?
Nunn decommits

Any interest in sharing?

I always share. My wife has a nose that never misses the scent of $100 bills. Her standard toll seems to be 50% of "our" winning but no part of MY losses. That is her definition of "equal protection under the law".

After 35 years I find it cheaper to give her a portion for her "stash" than keeping it all for myself. First she can be a massive "cooler" if she thinks she has no interest. Second, since she retired 6 years ago, I found it cheaper to tell her "use your stash" than paying for each little project. Last year she paid for her trips with my sister to Spain and The Holy Land. Year before it was the new kitchen counter tops I had refused to get. I have put my foot down many times, but my sneakers don't seem to hurt as much as her stilettos.

Sportsbook or the tables?

I don’t usually bet sports. About half came from tables and then a nice, well, really nice slot hit after I cashed the chips. I like the slots even though they are worse edge. I’m a little anti-social when I gamble and tables get too chatty. Early in the morning is when I like them best.

Back in 70’s I play a ton of blackjack over in Freeport. Card counting came natural for me and I could afford the big bets that go with it. Nowadays, the old brain is retired and tables players here at the tribal casinos are to hostile when they don’t like your play— I’ll take hits on low bets to get the shoot right for the next couple hands. Chumps just think I’m stupid and get mouthy. I’m an a** so that is forumla for lot of stress so I stay away from blackjack.

I'm not a believer in lopsided rivalry victories making a huge difference with fence riders, especially in thi$ day and age...

Still...hard to believe there weren't some recruits wondering what in the **** was going on before halftime. Happy as **** they got to see a great comeback at least.

You must have not been at the game Saturday

Unfortunately not. The extent of my disabilities doesn’t allow me to travel very far. Been a fan since 79 and never got the chance to see a game at the OB. Tried to figure out a way before she was torn down but just didn’t work out. One of the saddest days of my life. While I’m sure the stadium was rocking, nothing compares to a big time game at prime time and you don’t have to be there to feel the electricity although it would be a dream come true.

I was referring to that night game atmosphere and not the score but stomping their *** would have been nice regardless. I agree, I was wondering what they were thinking/feeling at halftime also especially after the desperate 4th down conversion attempt that failed and backfired.

I would think Nunn might be the next commitment.
Him or Ingraham I think. Within the next month, I know Ingraham and Weaver are scheduled to announce and I feel Richards, Nunn, and Haselwood announce too. Maybe someone random like Stevenson or Bogle will announce too but I’ve read Bogle will announce at an all star game.
