Antione Jackson update [anyone have one?]

People aren't willing to pay him because of his play. They're willing to pay him because of his relationships. That's not the amount that I've heard I know three to four schools that apparently have a good amount of interest in him. But I've heard his number is 400. As of a couple of weeks ago we thought we were going to keep him. not sure what's happened since. But I trust @Cribby info. I've only met the kid twice and he does seem like he's all over the place.

He should be getting ready for his Jr prom guy is so young I feel like his age is showing during this recruitment. Pretty wild tho still that other teams will go hard at him like this because of his relationships connections with the 2024 guys

I’d bet this is closer to the real number. The 1 mil was technically second-hand info, although the guy was with Antoine a couple weekends ago. Kids say bs all the time and he’s one that would definitely inflate the number to make himself look better.

I’d imagine this isn’t just a one year deal but who knows - but you’re so spot on with the rationale of paying him that number. It’s not for performance. It’s just a weird move for a kid to re-classify, become the “class ambassador”, proceed to seriously toy with 2-3 other schools right before ESD…sign with Miami, then want out almost immediately. Kid shouldn’t have signed to begin with then, it’s just not a good look on his end.

Anyone know who is running this show? Usually we see a handler of some sort. I seriously Doubt Tate at Dillard is advising this kid and his decisions.

I was just reading about Pack getting 400K a year for two years, a guy who was instrumental in getting us to the Sweet 16. Meanwhile, some 16 year old is getting 400K to be a disruptor off the field not on it? Seems incongruous.

In fairness, Pack got the 400K/year BEFORE taking us to the Sweet 16. And we really really needed a replacement for Charlie Moore.

Action Jackson may or may not be worth that kind of money eventually, but I heard he was going to be a class ambassador for the 2024 guys BEFORE all this stuff arose.

So...may very well be a good investment...and it's not my money, so why should I care?

Really hate to see NIL finally happen for these kids only to be weaponized. I feel as if most, if not every, big school known to be delving into NIL has had less than stellar reviews except Miami. Don’t be swayed by false advertising kid.

Does he care about the “look”? The “look” to CIS and Miami fans?

Lock him up. Lock his relationships up.

I've seen this movie before.

The sad, and I mean really sad, part of the story is that this is the kind of kid that ends up doing nothing, in jail .... or worse.

Not saying it happens, but when you look at the emotional (im)maturity, the personal situation, and some other factors that make him highly impressionable to some not so great influences, I start to see flashing photos of Willie Williams, Adrian McPherson, and many others who have the same profile.

Are we really painting this kid as a criminal because he wants out of his NLI? Seems like a giant leap here lol

That is a bit of a stretch to compare him to those individuals based off what we know. I'm not sure how much miami is giving him but I wonder how many people on here wouldn't bat an eye to even an extra 100k to do the same job they are doing today.

Wait. People actually believe some school is paying this kid $1M to go there?
Not really no, but I'm not just making up the number to draw a reaction. They're also not offering him $ based on solely his football capabilities like Dee said; there's more to his value in terms of connections to other extremely talented high schoolers.

Lincoln would like to get a foothold here just like everyone else.

Cue the “ I’m glad I don’t know some of you in real life” post. Man sit down somewhere. Some of you are so fragile minded. It’s just football. I bet you didn’t say this when he was committed to UGA. Before reclassifying the kid committed to UGA 2 years prior to graduating. Then he flipped instantly. The kid already flipped once, what makes you think he wouldnt do it again? It’s only football. Some how you see a correlation with flipping from Miami and going to jail. How did you come to that? Get real. You may not like how he handled his recruitment but it doesn’t mean he’s a degenerate. By all accounts he’s a good kid. His recruitment is frustrating but it’s all just football
