And then there were 4...

Not enough can truly be said about just winning. Schedule, eye test, blah blah blah. Winning is winning. And doing it consistently in CFB is really hard.

I listen and watch a lot of shows every week all week. Lot of poetic justice watching teams that got pats on the back get beat and loose bad. Can’t wait till they spin zone Miamis win vs AM/clemson/penn state loss. Or Georgia struggling again! This time with a 3rd string qb for a team we blew out.

Would be interesting year without new CFP format
Nah, because there will always be a controversy at the end of the day when it was only 4. While I think 12 was excessive (they should have went 8 with no byes), it was needed to expand it where the backend playoff teams didn't have much of an argument for the top spots. The committee already ensured that regular season meant nothing because their opinion is that this 2 loss team is better than an undefeated team.

It's nice to see the chaos again. I remember that year, in the BCS era, where top 5s kept getting beat week after week.
You mean 2007 that Pate brings up all the time to try and make himself look smart? I remember that year as a particularly boring one for college football. Not just because Kirby Freeman was our QB but generally. One of those in-between/trash years where there technically were many top 1 or 2 teams (including USF?) that lost but really there wasn't elite an team or storyline.
