Why mope?

It's not moping.

It's being a realist.

Look at Al Golden's track record.

I'm with you on that Thread.

But realism is recognizing both pros and cons and acknowledging both successes and failures. Its being honest about circumstances and facts.

I don't think jumping on every statement and looking for things to grab a tampon about is realism. Who isn't well aware of our decade of futility? Also aware that FSU fans were starting to call for Jimbo's head two years ago. Muschamp was UF's savior and Chizik was going to start a dynasty at Auburn. Also know Golden inherited a pile of cultural dung and an NCAA investigation he never saw coming.

As my sig suggests, not a fan of hiring best friends for anything much less Defensive Coordinator.

Just don't understand the soft-shouldered moping every day.

I should clarify. My point wasn't directed at you Thread. I just happened to respond to your post.

I think a lot of you guys are being ridiculous. Coach speak is consistent across all programs and should be taken with a grain of salt. That's why guys like Bear Bryant, Bobby Bowden, Schnelenberger, and yes even Spurrior are fun to listen too. No "Flying around ,playing in our park, can't play more then one game at a time etc." in excess. They mixed in their own brand of well... coach speak. Let's play the games and stop scrutinizing everything Golden says. It 's in all of our best interest for him and staff to be successful.

Petrino did exactly the same thing during his press conference.

Petrino said that it "takes time to install a new offense," that they lost a lot of "first round talent" and would need to rebuild, and said that his quarterback didn't have enough in-game experience.

Of course, when Golden says something he's making excuses. When Petrino says something the mopey ******** want to suck him off.

Wait, hold up, you're a REALIST?

We won 9 games last year, which is on par or better than we should have done considering the current talent level of the team. THAT's realism.

You want to know what's NOT realistic? Thinking that this is 2001 and that we're going to run over every team we meet.

It takes several years to turn around a poorly managed roster. That's real.

This will be Petrino's first year at Louisville as opposed to Golden having the same excuses in his fourth year.

Not the same situation.

Yeah it is, you're taking something that 100 coaches in Div 1 football are going to say in some way, shape, or form this year and you're going to make an entire thread *****ing about what basically amounts to nothing.

Nobody wants to hear that negativity all **** day.

Anyway, I think we beat Louisville on labor day.

Why did you make fun of Jim Kelly's cancer?

Golden on Petrino: "Bobby's got a great offensive mind." Says "controlling variables" will be hard since they won't know UofL's personnel.

Cranking up the excuse machine in late July

Jesus christ, just shut the **** up already.

Some of you guys will twist anything you read into anti-Miami or anti-coaches. Just STFU and be glad he's smart enough not to paint the L'ville chalkboard.
