Am I the only one who...

Im expecting our defense to dominate tomorrow. I cannot say that I expect our offense to put up big numbers but I do expect our D to shut Ga Tech down.

The success of Paul Johnson's is tied heavily to the ability of their QB to both run and pass effectively. I just dont think they have a QB right now who can execute that offense against solid defenses.

Everytime we get over confident about these type of ACC games we come out and play like ****. See Virginia the last two years, UNC last year, etc. I am cautiously optimistic.
Bingo. Though I agree with Chise. We weren't flat, we just weren't very good.

On the other hand we know college football is about matchups and I like everything about how we stack up. Add to the fact that Morris is at home and this could definitely wind up a woodshed beating.

Still though, for my own sanity I'm prepared for a dogfight.

We weren't flat last year. We just weren't very good. We were pretty equally matched with UNC and UVA. And we were actually a very large underdog against GT. There's a reason we were picked to finish next to last in the Coastal and forecast to win 4 games.

Funny, we exceeded the expectations of most of the country with the exception of a few porsters who expected Golden to go 11-1 and win a conference championship with 20 freshman on the 2 deep. It's nice to remember that sometimes. I had actually forgotten some of those preseason predictions.

Perspective. Wiggers don't have any, and that's why UM is always fighting it's own fans and local media. We were the underdogs most of the time last year and won several of those games where we were the underdog.

Dudes act like that team we actually fielded against UVA should have destroyed them when, in fact, that defense was completely decimated by injuries and suspensions and was too young to to do anything. UNC had a bunch of guys drafted off last year's team because **** Davis recruited all those guys. They arguably had better more experienced talent than we did last year.

Guys lose perspective thinking about what UM was and what we will become again. But last year's team was a bad football team that got way more done than anyone besides a few dopes and guys with obvious agendas thought we would.

Don't they have a top 10 defense? I don't think it'll be a beat down but I think we'll win by 14

Yes, after playing Elon, Duke, UNC and VT.

Weren't guys point to usf's defensive rankings last week when they were wringing their hands scared? GT is improved somewhat defensively, but we will be, by far, the best offense they have faced. Contain Atouchue (sp?), and we wipe our asses with their faces.

Fully expect us to pummel them. Last year was an anomaly, as touched on by others (Lewis almost losing his foot, young D, on the road, etc) but ever since the beatdown in ATL we suffered at the hands of Dwyer and co. that highschool BS offense they run has done NOTHING. That trend will continue on Saturday. When I heard that Vad was the best passer that PJ has had since being at GT I thought they might be a problem... BUT then I saw him in action. No longer worried. Our D is going to be a huge problem for them (I expect multiple TO's) and once we get a lead it will go nowhere but downhill for them from there. Really think we win big.

This year is different from last.

1)We're at home
2)We're bigger, stronger, faster
3)We're more mature
4)We're deeper
5)Their offense sucks
6)we have the Don
7)Their coach is ***** as ****

In the past I couldn't see Miami winning some games, tomorrow I just don't see them losing. They will be on my 3 or 4 team money line parley this week. To me this game is more of a telling game than the Florida game. IMO, we had to beat Florida didn't matter who was better, we had to win that one. This game to me will show how much progress we are making.

I usually have a pretty good feel for how games are going to go with this team.

Im feeling a dominant win tomorrow, just don't think GT can hang with us at home. 45-17 sounds about right.

#5, 6 and 7 were also true last year.

I want to see us win the toss, opt to receive, and score right away on the opening drive. Put them in a hole early and make them feel pressure on Offense. They will almost certainly crumble.

I watched a good portion of the UNC game and all of the VT game, watching this game I just can't see any way that GT can beat us. UNC moved the ball pretty well against them, the weather played a huge factor in this game. They looked like absolute garbage against VT.

VT's ****** offense run by a single guy beat GT's vaunted Defense. Before the game with GT, Logan Thomas was a potato-head bust on Herder Dernichs Top #25 players of the ACC. Somehow we cant sleep on him or the VT team because they beat an overhyped ****** GT team that has a fractured offense. UNC wasn't a major win for them, UNC is in shambles.

**** them. We roll.

GT fans expecting a heavy dose of Jalen Grimble, Earl Moore, and Corey King are gonna feel like they were sodomized tomorrow.
