All-Time Miami-Dade Football Team

Thinking about how loaded the 305 is in the next two recruiting cycles and some threads from the past got me thinking. If you made an All-Time Miami-Dade football team what would it look like? Not necessarily talking how they ended up in college/pros, more so talking what they was in high school. How great of a prep player they were and as a prospect. Guys like Derrick Thomas wouldn’t count even though he ended up being an all-time great etc.. I love talking history here’s my go

I think Sean Taylor wouldnt be on the list as a Defensive player based off of high school play. He would be on as an offensive player, ATHLETE though

While I agree that he ended up being as good as anyone. He wasn’t as highly regarded as these guys at the time. Ended up better than most. One bad dude forsure. Keith Carter was a bad **** as well.

He might not have the same elite measurables as some of the others on this list but he was an instinctive LB that showed up with bad intentions. Nate was an All Time Tackling Machine in HS and UM....Had 400+ tackles in HS.....And 300+ in 22 games as a starter at UM.....Anyone who thinks Derrick Thomas shouldn't be on a All-Time Dade HS team, needs their heads examined....WW is the best that EVER came out of Dade....Period

The Davis Bros have every right to be on that list as well...Troy went on to break records in College. You can easily add Elvis Peacock as well. Legendary UM RB coach Don Soldinger coached both the Davis Bros, and an All American in his own right in Tony Smith in the late 70s....but Sarge will tell you that Miles was the best of them all.

I was just gonna bring up Davis. Troy gets a lot of credit bc he was one of the first ever in dads to crack 2k in a season iirc.

Tony gaiter should get a mention. He was on the weekly Friday night news just about every week with a great return/score.
