Alin Edouard Update

That's ridiculous. All it shows is that he's a spotlight *****. If I tweeted everyday about other girls who showed me love, my girlfriend wouldn't give a **** why I do it or how nice of a guy I am. Same commitment principle applies here. His entire focus, as a future leader of UM football, should be UM football. That includes any content he wants to include in his *** f*cking tweets.

Your aware your talking about a 17 year old right? Their young and immature...Welcome to the world of recruiting.

You are aware that he plays QB and should be a leader? This isn't a DB or WR or RB, this is supposed to be the leader of the team. Brad Kaaya is 17 too, he is capable of handling this properly.

This is a kid that said he would also recruit for us, how does that work when you suck off our rivals?

This is QB, the spotlight is on you from the day you commit. What do you want the fans to do? Applaud his efforts? Way to prop up UF and FSU! Great work Alin!

im hoping when he tweets about other teams its just showing respect and he's just a really nice kid

Thats exactly what he is doing and he is an extremely nice kid

I half agree. I think that once you make a commitment you should act like it, and take some pride/have some respect for the institution that you've committed to, especially as a QB. Shouting out other teams all the time makes your own commitment (and by extension your word) look weak.

With that said, I have problem with him showing respect/gratitude for the schools that are recruiting him, I just don't think twitter is the correct platform for it, it's too much in the public eye. When I chose to go to the University of Miami, I still sent a hand written note to all the other schools that had accepted me thanking them for their offer and letting them know I was going elsewhere but their interest was appreciated. I don't think that as an athlete Alin is exempted from doing the same thing, and not burning any bridges, I just think he needs to do it in a different manner.

10 years ago this is a non-issue, but twitter has changed the recruiting world for the worse.

It's as much, if not more the fault of the fans anyway.....hanging on every ******* word and thought a teenager has like we forget how stupid we were when we were 17.

since you're a writer on here, just a reminder ... "your" is not the same as "you're" and "their" is not "they're."

let him have fun with the process, other schools deserved to get trolled a lil bit since all the negative recruiting they have been giving us

F*ck that. This is the sentiment that leads to the circus. The idea we should encourage kids to "have fun with the process" by going to Twitter and trolling is absolutely retarded.

Bro u gotta lighten up lol. 17 year old kid just keep it in mind

Great to hear, now he needs to get some of those other local boys to commit or flip to Miami

Listen time will tell with this kid. He hasn't reached out to recruit like he says he was gonna do back when he committed.

While Grammar might be your strong suit, obviously common sense in recruiting isn't.

In addition to grammar, you might consider bucking up on reading comprehension (ie "dycane is not the same as "drifters1234").

Well if you meant your corrections in good intentions then I apologize, but if they were intended to mock me then I stand by my statement

People forget that we're dealing with kids here....16-18, sometimes 15 yo kids. We're the ones who need to get a grip with how we spew venom when these kids send out random tweets or even when they commit to another school although signing day is months away and our staff still has an opportunity to flip them. So, next time you want to go off on a kid, breath and think before you hit post reply.

I played college sports. I understood the concept of leadership by the time I was in middle school. I would hope the future QB of a major college program would get it by at least his junior year. I'm not spewing venom. If I coached this kid, I would tell him the exact same thing to his face. If I was his dad, I'd ban his *** from Twitter. Don't commit unless you mean it. And if you do, especially at that position, then I expect you to conduct yourself in public accordingly. Simple as that.

+1. Everyone needs to just relax.

Good question.

Nobody forgets this, if you have been following recruiting for awhile we all know:

1. We're dealing with kids,

2. We see the same circus every year (all-star games, OV, hat picking, delaying signing an LOI etc.),

3. The same divas (I don't want to go to FSU, let me out of my LOI)

It is the same insanity just new names and faces. We get it, kids are immature but you have to remember the following:

A. We're Miami fans, we're biased to things that are anti-Miami. This is key, when we see kids propping up RIVAL schools (not just other schools) who are committed to Miami we get ****ed off. Our fans should be mad at this, our fans should NOT respect this behavior since we support the program and don't want our commits to support the rival. The fans don't care about the age of the kid, they want things to be PRO MIAMI and that is more than understandable. What do you want the fans to do, reward this behavior? Applaud his anti-Miami efforts.

B. This kid plays QB, he is supposed to be the leader. The spotlight is always on the QB. In addition, he is on the record saying he will recruit for us, how does it look to potential players that our QB is propping up FSU and UF. This behavior once, is a mistake and understandable. Maybe the kid is excited. Now it is several times and both rivals. It is more than a joke. Then the other thing that works against him is Brad Kaaya is sucking every potential recruit off and recruiting for Miami. In fact Alin and Brad are at opposite ends of the spectrum.

C. The BS we're looking, so I'm looking. That is great. If Alin wants to look around and suck off rivals, then go de-commit and move on. If not, deal with the consequences of said behavior from the fans.
