Compare the throwing motion and ability to find the open man under pressure and you might see what the coaches see in this kid. They look so similar at the same age. If he had a better rating you might think his video is Teddy's. You also might think it's as good as Teddy's. I think watching them back to back, OR RUN THEM AT THE SAME TIME, might give some a new prospective. Just food for thought.....

I like the kid and want him in the class. I just want more of a Kayaa attitude out of him. The kid is the QB and supposed to be a leader.

Edouard has a VERY high ceiling. He also is very raw and has a pretty low floor. He does have a lot of the potential strengths of Bridgewater. But, Bridgewater produced A LOT more at the HS level. Edouard is a talent, but he is not as good of a prospect coming out as TB because TB was less risky. Edouard is a great talent to take as a 2nd QB along with a guy like Kaaya who seems to me a more proven commodity. I really like how our QB class looks right now

I think his raw ablity has been underrated lately bc of Kaaya's level of commitment and leadership qualities. We've quietly forgotten how talented this kid is. What's great about this is the level of competition at QB that we will have going forward. That is what building a championship quality team is all about. Having depth and quality competition at every position. Hopefully this will be no different

I agree. I think he is the type of kid you take when you are taking two QBs. One of them like Kayaa, with good fundamentals and looks pretty polished. The other, an athlete with this type of ceiling.

Teddy had more talent at MNW on the bench and around him on the field than Alin.

No question about it. But the production discrepancy is massive. Production at the HS level is def not the end all be all, but it is def good to see. Edouard does not have near Teddy's supporting cast, but he is playing with some D1 guys around him

Definitely reminds me of a really young Teddy. When he was Jacory's backup he was really skinny like Edouard. You would watch him throw and the ball seriously looked like it would be too heavy for him. Then he would just sling it. Edouard is the same way.

I dont think Edouard is underrated at all. It's just what he says and does that rustles jimmies.

Really? He went to MNW? Wow, didn't know that! Tell me more!

I like Eduoard. I was one of the first people to defend his lower production because he has great tools as a prospect. That doesn't mean the lower production is not something to keep account of and consider.

Guess what? A lot of QBs that don't go to MNW and that play with less talent, complete over 50% of their passes

Been hyped about dude since before he was even being heavily recruited by Miami.

Upside is off the charts, but he's really raw in comparison to Teddy, because Teddy was reading defenses and exhibiting his talent on the field more than Alin has. You see all the highlights in that video and that's what makes him the tantalizing prospect, but I'm sure there are some lowlights out there, where there are inconsistent mechanics and poor reads.

If he picks up the position, then he might be our guy 2 or 3 years from now, because there isn't anyone else on our depth chart that brings his explosiveness to the position. It's ridiculous what he can do with the ball in his hands. I think he's far more explosive and an overall better athlete than Teddy was.

The high school tape that ACTUALLY looks the most similar to Alin's is this one:

Both have that special natural ability to hit the deep ball

Kid certainly has a LOT of talent, and probably some of the HIGHEST upside of ANY QB in the entire class this year nationwide. BUT... Ive never been a big fan of raw COLLEGE QBs with "lots of upside". I prefer smarter kids, who know how to manage an offense, make good decisions, and have decent talent, to guys who are Raw, with huge arms. We have always had better luck with the latter, than the former.

Ill be rooting for Edouard to develop into a top flight QB, but to me, the key to being a successful COLLEGE QB is more in your head, than in your arm. Thus Im overall much more excited about Kaaya at this point.

I won't put that on the kids. I'll put that squarely on the shoulders of the terrible staff's that we've had in place at times.

Meh, but it wasnt just one or two staffs. Remember Kenny Kelly? All the athleticism in the WORLD. And Ken Dorsey, who had no where NEAR the arm or athleticism KK had, ended up a much better QB for us. So it wasnt just Randy or Coker. This goes back a LONG way.

hope he sticks, not everyone has that BK attitude. Kid views things his way and posts it on twitter nothing wrong with that nowadays as long as hes coming to the U fk it.

It's why it would be nice to pair Edouard up with Kaaya. Kaaya and Olsen look pretty ready which will give Edouard time to learn and improve.
