Alex Collins may announce before Signing Day

the most annoying thing

Arkansas fans!

They have been blowing up the kids twitter NON STOP. They are 100% positive the kids is going to end up there.

Arkansas? really?

Yeah I can't see him choosing Arkansas over Miami.

Not getting a great feel about this kid. Seems like he is looking for a reason to go elsewhere. I understand wanting to look around, etc, but we are the absolute perfect situation for him, he can come in and have an impact right away, we have the most stable of all the staffs of the schools he is considering, he liked us and the atmosphere here enough to commit at one point, he knows the people here, its close to him and his family, if he is this torn, then there is something inside the kid that is pushing him to go elsewhere. This shouldnt be that hard considering the factors his coach claims are important to him. We are the perfect fit for him.

All due respect but I disagree 100% with the "looking for a reason" part.

You are dead right about him being a perfect fit. The kid made a mistake and committed too early. He wanted to get out there and experience the process and he has handled it with class. He's coming back home though IMO.

I hope you are right, but I just get the vibe that the kid is enamored with the idea of going somewhere else. EVERYTHING right now should be pointing him towards Miami, and yet he keeps seeming to find reasons and new places to go visit. Im not sure if its family, or his coach, but something is in this kids head trying to steer him away from us. The stars are all aligned for him to be at Miami, and yet I just get the feeling that he is looking for a reason to find something else.

Arkansas is the ****hole of the country.

Agreed but so are West Virginia, Louisville, and Tuscaloosa, but for some reason, some SFl kids go there. I wish climate was to biggest thing players look at (we'd only be competing against California if that were the case), but the unfortunate reality is no one truly knows what goes on in 18 year old's minds.

The best thing for any kid in his position that is having a hard time with this is to stay close to home. If you get home sick or need a parent to talk with you can go at anytime. Don't waste years by choosing the wrong school with the chance of being RS then try and transfer and miss another year of playing.

the decision should be easy. a good RB should be looking at 3 years and done. go to the school that will allow you to play sooner and more and get good exposure for the NFL while having a chance to play for conf champ and MNC. if the school is also < 50 miles away that is a NO BRAINER

Last night should show Collins that teams need and use 2 RBs these days.

**** our offense runs close to 90 plays a game I think.

He would probably get 15-20 touches a game as a freshman.
Not sure anyone else can offer him that. Maybe Arkansas I suppose.

I hope I am too. No inside info, just my gut, same as you.

The more I read about Golden and what these guys are saying the more and more I believe in him. I know a guy like you that's been following this stuff closely for years like a lot of us is having a tough time adjusting but these are the battles we win now.

I doubt we run the same amount of plays as Oregon.

seems like if he's not gonna wait till signing day, that would be a good thing for us. after all he was committed to us for a long time and is visiting in a week. it just makes too much sense for him to be a Cane
