Alex Collins may announce before Signing Day

I forgot where I had read it, but basically the article said he was going to commit to a school after his last visit ( arkansas ). He makes that visit in 2 weeks I believe.

He's going to basically announce a week or so before national signing day, that's if he sticks to what he said.
 
Article didn't really say anything...UM is recruiting him as hard as anyone, his coach views all the assistants & HC's leaving as a reason why AC should not have committed early, AC doesn't know what he is going to do, coach wouldn't be surprised anywhere AC goes, and he may announce after his visits or he may wait until signing day.

-He's already visited Wisconsin, Florida and Florida State. Next is Miami Jan. 18 and Arkansas Jan. 25.

-Tennessee is trying to get into the mix.

-His highschool coach says certain coaches and assistants leaving programs has made an impact.

-Gatewood thinks the Canes have recruited Collins as hard as anyone, sending multiple coaches at a time to see him. He thinks Collins is having a tough time with the process, and doesn't tip his hand to where he's leaning. He wouldn't be surprised where he goes.

-He'll wait until he takes all of his visits and may wait until signing day.

Funny to hear his coach say that since the school he was committed to has had the most coaching stability of all the schools he's considering.

Not getting a great feel about this kid. Seems like he is looking for a reason to go elsewhere. I understand wanting to look around, etc, but we are the absolute perfect situation for him, he can come in and have an impact right away, we have the most stable of all the staffs of the schools he is considering, he liked us and the atmosphere here enough to commit at one point, he knows the people here, its close to him and his family, if he is this torn, then there is something inside the kid that is pushing him to go elsewhere. This shouldnt be that hard considering the factors his coach claims are important to him. We are the perfect fit for him.

I feel the same way man. Maybe Derrick Green flips and puts the canes on top after his visit. Just like AQM. But I really would like to see how clements comes along in development.

He just went as a courtesy to the staff and I believe his sister graduated from Uf

All due respect but I disagree 100% with the "looking for a reason" part.

You are dead right about him being a perfect fit. The kid made a mistake and committed too early. He wanted to get out there and experience the process and he has handled it with class. He's coming back home though IMO.
