Alex Collin's coach speaks about his recruitment

I've mentioned it on here before and people didn't want to hear it. I've been told that it is in his best interests to leave south Florida. My guess is he really wants to go to Miami but might feel it is best for him to go away for school. I think golden will convince him to stay this weekend

What is the reason? Gang ?enemies? To much sun? To many girls? What

More of the mysterious Gangs of Gables? Maybe he should go somewhere safe like Vag Tech.

I understand the allure of getting out of Miami. Mosquitos are ferocious. It's as hot as a sauna most of the year.
Heck I got out.
I can't understand how a kid can love The U all his young life and not want to play for them when they come calling.
I told my wife that if we had a son and he could play college ball and didn't choose Miami then I'd divorce her as she
obviously cheated on me because no son of mine would ever forsake Miami if they came a knocking.

Spending four years of my life at coral gables was the worst decision ever (insert jerry seinfeld gif with the eye roll).

All the people in "the know" have assured us that Collins isn't afraid of competition. That statement by the coach doesn't sound very reassuring.

Thread full of first-rodeo recruitniks is full. Grace has not made a decision either. Bostwick. Bryant. UM clearly has the best chance at PT for any DT. The "looking for a reason not to go to UM" logic may have applied to Williams. It does not to Collins.
Aside from his previous decommitment you mean?

I feel the same way. I haven't lived in south Florida for almost 50 years, but I still love the Canes. Nothing could keep me from being a Cane or, if I had a son, having him play anywhere else. I have a few friends who played for the Canes, and their sons played college football. Neither of the sons were recruited by the U, despite the fact one was POY in Alabama and the other played a decade in the NFL.

There were a lot of other sons of UM players who went elsewhere (Andre Carter, the Latimer kid, Tony Kline's son), some by choice, some weren't recruited. The only one who had a big NFL career, of those we wanted, was Andre Carter. His father was the badass in the day.

Edge, Willis, Portis, and Gore laff at this attempt.

it would be nice if they would do something like that. silly as it may seem to
adults (at least to me) i am fairly certain that tweet makes its way to him.

I love the U intros to games, but I have always wished those guys playing
on sundays threw up the U after making a play more often or were a bit more vocal.
Then again I can't speak for how close that is to the forefront of their mind
being several years removed. I guess i don't rep my college any more, but it also wasn't miami.

A bit off topic, but Coach Richardson seems to be somewhat of an elite evaluator of talent as far as the running back position goes. Before any of these major progms jumped on him. Miami was the first to offer, and thennhe blew up.
