Whitlock was directly on point and used our situation with the NCAA as a perfect example. What interview were you listening to Sebastian91 or did you mean just in general?

They are getting paid. They're getting a free education (sometimes worth hundreds of thousands of dollars), far better meals than any other student, access to far better educational resources, access to far better facilities, far more lenient admittance standards....the list goes on and on. The system is definitely broken and needs to be overhauled, but Jason Whitlock conveniently ignores all of these things that football players get that aren't available to the average student.

Around 15% of athletic programs even turn a profit after all expenses. He's actually thinks it's plausible. Cry about Title IV before crying about college football players not being paid. 85% of schools would have to take money away from education to pay their players. Sounds fair?

People cry about impoverished kids not getting paid to pay. They're impoverished kids GOING TO COLLEGE. Isn't that the way you break the cycle? Not getting payed $30,000. Who knows what they'd spend it on anyway.

whitlock does nothing on his own he lives on trashing other folks work...
when it involved Miami canes fans fell in love with him....

he is harmless just a lazy hack waiting for the next NCAA article to pounce on

kids get paid....room and board, food, tuition, tutors travel etc...some deal with it better and like life some budget better.

Cowherd just went off on this and I agree..I wish my kid was abused a stanford degree....
 
Meh....that interview didnt amount to much. Lets hope the Rome interview is better. Few things about the Gator win, having the right mentality all week before the game and then practice as usual after the game. Then spoke bout boosters and keeps the kids clear of it. That was about it.
