Al Golden's best man is his D Coordinator.....

Swasey is going NOWHERE. Lets cut that right now. AG himself has said that this team has made HUGE strides in conditioning and strength. We have HUGE dudes on our lines. Ive given Swasey sh*t over the years, but honestly, he's the least of our problems right now.

Kehoe is doing a superb job this season

It's not his fault morris has zero pocket presence and we have a safety playing RB now

Boy you must be high. SUPERB? This is the best Line we've had in a decade. You think they are playing like an elite OL right now? Agreed Morris is totally clueless in the pocket, but our OL has allowed pressure with just a 4 man rush against almost EVERY defensive front weve faced this season. We had what, 40 yards rushing last night? You shouldnt need to have a Duke Johnson in your backfield to get more than 50 yards or rushing behind this OL. This OL is NOT playing up to its potential.

Coach D, Swasey and Kehoe will be gone this off season. I think you will see some other changes on the D side of the ball. I honestly think Al, with the NCAA debacle behind him will shift into CEO mode and do the right thing.

Coach D and Jethro need to be gone. Should have happened after last year.

coach D is not the problem... we're running the defense golden wants to run.. we need golden to adapt his scheme.

- Through our last 5 games (All ACC games) we are allowing an average of 465 yards per game

- Good for 109th in the country

- During that 5 game stretch, we are allowing 31.4 points per game.

- Good for 93rd in the country.

- We are averaging allowing 7.6 out of 15 attempts of 3rd downs to be converted a game

- 119th in the country

- We have sacked the QB an average of 1.8 times a game

- 76th in the country

I pray and hope you are right. If Dorito goes then I'm pretty sure Golden will give the defensive reins to someone else. But we will see if that happens. I really hope it does.

again.. that's the defense al golden wants D'Onof to run... we can fire D'Onof, but Golden will still want to run the same style of D... D'Onof is not making any unilateral decisions on scheme.

Defense has got to get better and that means changes have to be made. We are a very experienced unit now with only 3 freshman role players, so there are no more excuses for mental lapses. All you need to do is show the highlights of Logan Thomas vs us in 2011 and this year and that should be reasonable grounds to axe the person responsible. Our blitzes are a joke, predictable and inneffective because O coordinators are 2 steps ahead of us. A basic film study of us would give even an average offensive coordinator unlimited ammunition against us. There are no adjustments, it doesn't get tighter at halftime.

To me, the biggest indictment of the defense is that almost every week we give up a TD on the first possession of the game. That to me says, going in, the other team is more prepared for our D than our D is for their O and that is 100% gameplanning. You can't tell me we aren't a top 4 defense in the ACC in terms of pure talent, so to fail to produce even top 10 results is a failure of leadership and theres no way around it. Coaches aren't players, you don't give them a redshirt year till they get used to it, they need to be ready to perform and ours isn't for whatever reason.

Not really defending the line. But our offense would look completely different with a more well rounded QB.

True. More often than not good QBs make the ol look good.
