Indeed, and Golden had good players on that defense.

It was definitely Dorito though. Look at his track record since. Any head coach has to give the coordinator some freedom to make their own mistakes. Really any manager of any job. We've seen this sort of thing happen before (Blake running Mannys defense for example)

Yes, Golden learned it under Groh. But if you really want to go back, that defense was originally designed by Bill Parcells and Bill Belicheck. It was a friggin 1980’s defense. That’s what Al Golden wanted to run in 2012
