The season may hinge on Curtis Porters health from the way Al was talking. Porter is ground zero for the D.

I think he's gonna be All-ACC 1st Team if he stays healthy.

Every time he was on the field last year, the opposition couldn't really do anything with him. He didn't play in the first 7 or 8 games last year, came back and immediately started penetrating and pushing the o-line into their own backfield.

He's a boss.

Depends on how much time he misses this season.. He may qualify for a med shirt later on in his career.

I don't know what are the specific rules to be eligible for a medical redshirt, but yeah, you can have a medical redshirt even if you've already redshirt...

Don't think anything as come out about his reasons for transferring.

He underperformed at UVA according to their local write-ups, his strength is the run. He will be a rotational guy. Doubt he will be anything but a suitable back up - unlikely he will get blown off the ball like some of the young DTs that played last year, which is about all you can ask for at this point.
