Al Golden on "College Football Daily"

But one thing has changed. “We [had] lost our way, what the University of Miami was about. What people lost in the translation is this” program, historically, “was one of the hardest working teams in America, one of the toughest teams in America. The practice was quite often harder than the game.” The program is returning to that mentality

That's a fantastic quote. And it's reassuring that a UM HC finally said it.

Fans talk about swagger. NFL U. All that doesn't mean jack.

In its glory days, the thing that separated Miami from the rest of the college football world was its work ethic. No team worked harder in the offseason than Miami. In the 80s, Miami had a glorified HS gym - but it was the dedication and hard work that gave the Canes its edge. Teams literally wilted against them in the 4th quarter because of Miami's superior conditioning.

It still just infuriates me that Coker turned a well oiled, Rocky training gym machine into a picturesque, country club environment.

+1 on this. For me, the most impressive part of the UF game was the sight our defense still going strong in the 4th quarter after spending most of the game on the field while watching the gayturd players sucking wind in the first half ( que up a picture of Easley in I believe the first maybe second quarter panting big time on the sidelines out of breath). I know we rotated freely on defense with the exception of Chick, but ****. When was the last time you saw a Canes team in that good of condition? A thing of beauty!

That clown of a host Dari is such a ****** w/o a clue.

I have spoken with Dari at the gym about our U and Golden. He is VERY pro Golden. Loves Duke......but thinks UNC will face Clemson in ACCCG. That prediction might have changed since the U*** game.

Really good guy. I look forward to catching up with him.

Might be a nice guy in person, but he's a cvnty little hairbag on the air. So he can suck a mega dyck.

Im sure he is a good guy but he's got a little SEC dribble running down his chin most of the time

on how much of "theU swag" (of the 80s) does he welcome "a great deal of it, the relentless competitor of the 80s get overshadowed by the stigma of that era but we embrace it"

Man does this guy get it

It speaks volumes that a guy from PSU embraces a great deal of the competitive fire that made the U, whereas one of our own did everything to disassociate himself from it. Amazing!!

Its a bye week after a win against a ranked opponent. This is the ideal week for coach Golden to make a quick round thru the media circuit.

Part of his responsibility is enhancing the brand. The best time for him to be visible nationally, especially in the eyes of recruits, is after a win like this past weekend.

The Name of the show should be changed to "The SEC Daily"

Didn't watch, but the only reason Al was on there was because the SEC's Florida was the main topic.

Please tell us how long they spent breaking down Bama vs A&M?????

It is almost sickening!

ESPN has stock in the $EC. what do you expect?

Did you ask why? What strengths does UNC have over Miami. Does he feel that UNC will run the ACC table because that's the only way they will be playing Clemson over Miami...
