Al Golden and James Coley August 11th

Based on the way Golden was talking, it looks like the scrimmage is BK's opportunity to take the reigns. If he shines while the "bullets are flying", he should be starting against Louisville.

Loved the "Zero. Zero percent." reply from Alfred about doubting Kaaya's ability to handle that stage.

If you watch Coley react to Williams' name it was almost if he's an afterthought at this point so I'm guessing we were jumping the gun on all that "Adrian Peterson type recovery" talk with him.

Golden is downright giddy... Anyone notice how he calls Randy "Duke" now? I know it's subtle and probably nothing but he would address his as Randy in the past. He seems looser and excited about what kind of team we'll have this year. I'm excited!

I know Kaaya is advanced for a true freshman but the combination of a true freshman QB on the road at night and a whole side of the OL being a dumpster fire just portends bad things.

Yeah, it just doesnt seem that Williams is going to be healthy enough to jump in the mix...especially if we are rolling, who knows.

This is a 2 horse race imo. Olsen wont play a snap here and who knows what is going to happen with Williams. I think this is between Heaps and Kaaya and we dont see any other QBs play this year. If heaps is the starter and plays bad the first few games i think the staff would go to Kaaya before they went to Williams.

Im also confused as to Rosiers role on this team. He doesnt seem to be a serious threat because of Kaayas apparent emergence and with the other QBs coming in im confused why they seem content leaving him at QB

I think Golden is starting to see real players on his field--difference makers. You can tell he is exuding confidence…that only comes from knowing that you have the horses. We'll see what happens at Louisville. Honestly, despite how Golden sounds, my expectations haven't changed. I need to see improvement to believe it. His excitement is encouraging, but at this point it's only enthusiasm and it's nothing tangible.

I feel like they want a legit athlete at QB that could run some wildcat, but also throw the ball. From the clips I saw of Rosier he has a strong arm but long *** delivery.

Didn't Bridgewater start at UL as a True Freshman?

I'm not going to say that Kaaya CAN'T do it, because he's showed so far that he can.

I just think it would be wise to RS him and give him a year to mature, and let Heaps/Williams lead the team this year.

But hey, what do I know?

I don't think you have to redshirt him. Let him be a backup and put him in late in games like garbage time against ark state and famu etc.

Bridgewater was mediocre at best as a freshman.
His stats were actually better than he looked 65% 14 td's 12 int's.
For comparison Peyton Manning as a freshman 62% 11 td's 6 int's.

Tough for true freshmen to light it up.

You don't RS him because you have Lawson and Allison coming in...

Lol, i've never heard of a team not RS a kid because of that. Makes no sense at all.

I say you start him, he will be better by the bulk of ACC games.

Redshirt Allison. Gives us at least 2 years of Allison starting
