AJ Highsmith and Ty Cornelius

Every time those 2 are on the field at the same time, bad things happen w/ this defense.

Money down situations i keep seeing Aj Highsmith and Ty Cornelius on the field, and the offense keeps converting.... AJ doesnt need to play another snap honestly.

I'm tired of seeing AJ Highsmith at free safety..... he is slower then our O-lineman, and is constantly getting beat around the edges in every game. Tyrone Cornelius has been good but he's still to small to play LB behind Perryman.

I'd rather Ty Cornelius play AJ Highsmith's spot at safety (at least he'd be a big enough last line of defense and he's faster then AJ Highsmith) then let Kirby or Armbrister play back-up to Perryman along w/ their normal roles on the defense.

The last paragraph is just wishful thinking but the point is those 2 dont need to be on the field at the same time again EVER this season.

I have NEVER understood how or why Highsmith keeps appearing on the Depth chart as a starter or costarter ??? Is this payback to his dad??? I'm not a hater but HE is awful!' Horrible angles, Horrible tackler and sorry Alonzo(luv ya) Absolutely NO ball skills!!!!! Keep him far away from the field!
 
sucks cause the kid is smart and is always where he needs to be but he just doesn't have the talent to make a play. Sucks that he finally made a play yesterday....cause it means he'll continue to get meaningful snaps next week which will not help us..
 
Honestly, both would never see the field at FSU

Golden is getting everything he can out of them

Until all our lbs look like Figs and play like Perryman we are not close to being back. And our safeties should look like last years Bush. That's what Artie looks like. That kid is a monster safety waiting to happen. He is going to get bigger and faster.

I would honestly rather see Fentress play over Highsmith.
 
Ps remember last year's ND game besides Dorsett's drops a key play forgotten by most was an interception drop by Highsmith early which could have been huge in that game! Anyone recall? I watch every game very closely. But why look back we got bigger things in play this season! Love my Canes but Highsmith with all due respect is one of weakest players!
 
Cornelius has played reasonably well this year. He gave a big play yesterday, but I think he's been pleasant surprise

We only have three safeties and anyone being honest would say that Bush has been as bad as Highsmith. Bush has been really bad whether you blame his injury or lack of playing time or whatever. So we're left with Jenkins and then you can flip a coin. I never thought I'd miss Kacy Rodgers but we could use him.

Cornelius plays nickel. The more we see 3+ receivers, the more you'll see Cornelius. They don't like Gaines in that role and I'm not sure they even trust anyone else beside Perryman. I view him like I view Gaines--he has his limitations but it's clear that he coaches value him for his role FAR more than anyone else so I defer that to them.

last 2 weeks who lead us back? where has the leadership come from? Duke, dallas, tracy howard, etc.

safety version of glenn cook....
 
deon didnt workout in training camp. sean spence had a bad soph year and bounced back. bush will be a monster next year pending his health. kids had health issues and his dad battling cancer.

Why haven't they been recruited over by this point. Shannons been gone awhile now. There's no excuses not to have better players than both of those. And according to you golden should've recruited a better tackle and qb that where better than Morris and Henderson. Why hasn't it been done? Who's fault is that.

golden has a better eye for talent. no way he would have some of the guys in the last few classes that shannon had.
