Its up for debate if they want to play for Rumph. But one thing we do know is the players and Surtain Sr. Respect and have a relationship with Rumph. Its VERY telling that were not scrambling to sign more players. Thats 4 schollies were holding for them. Those kids are at least going to keep it real with Rumph and let them know there not coming. Very positive sign that were not scrambling to sign more players

Rumph is not a clown. He's a smart, no bs dude who takes his craft seriously. Now, that may not be the ideal makeup from a recruiting standpoint. But he doesn't come off as some hustler or used car salesman. And to guys like Surtain Sr., who have been around the block, that should matter.
Perfectly said. Rumph’s style probably doesn’t play well with hustlers, handlers, and leeches. But if the recruit is from a good solid family, they will respect his simple no nonsense approach. It’s simply unfortunate that there aren’t more of those solid families down here not looking to parlay their sons into quick emoluments.

There is definitely a modicum of truth to this.

Similar to the problem Golden had.

Doherty was feeding Pete some misinformation purposefully.

This or Pete knew as well and had to hold back as well

I think Pete's sources inside the Hecht dried up once they learned he was running game for **** Nose Melki Kawa. Seeing as he just announced he's joining his agency firm, it's not a hard connection to make...

Possible. If true, they probably didn’t want someone connected to an agent tied into their recruiting stuff. Just waiting for a violation with all that.

LOL at suckers falling for Nesta playing them. This is further evidence that they’re looking to throw people off the UM trail.

Yep. Doubt he's going to go on ESPN and throw on a FU hat in the face of a coach he's know since 8 years old. Also, not buying Chatfield's comment that he may swing by this weekend 'but I don't know because me and my family got to do something'. He'll be there and if they want him he's a cane.

I laughed so hard when I read his quote. I've definitely used that excuse before haha. Id be surprised if he doesn't stop by

Right? I go back and forth (more forth) on the whether or not they are intentionally throwing people off the UM trail but that quote alone seems like intent. Or, that he just doesn't want to go and he's making up an excuse. And I ain't buying that at all.

Agree. I am almost sure that the school got wind of Pete's new friends early on in the process and kept an eye on it - perhaps as someone else said, feeding him bad info to see how it leaked. The Norton stuff may have been the last straw with it.

is dan sileo jr. a credible source? i dont want to get my hopes up.

Wow.

That Chatfield update is not good.

For the gators...

He said he barely talks to our coaches and likely won’t be coming this weekend.

How is that bad for the Gators?

Obvious troll is obvious^^^^

"Miami also sent coaches to Chatfield's school this week.

“I didn’t really talk to them all that much, but I like them boys.”"

On one visit to his school he said he didn't talk with our coaches much. That doesn't mean he "barely talks to our coaches"

You are correct.

This was already brought to my attention and I apologized. I strive for accuracy.

Now Florida is suddenly in the picture?

This makes me think that Chatfield is gone to Florida because why else would Nesta consider UF unless it to play with Chatfield there?

Listen, NSD is on the Feb. 7th. If we whiff on everyone Rumph needs to be gone on the 8th and Coach Kool is officially no longer this untouchable coach on staff.

You believe every negative thing and disbelieve every positive one. Your consistency is amazing.

If all 3 of his boys are at UM this weekend. He'll be there.

This was already brought to my attention but I'm an obvious troll. I look to try and make the worst out of any Canes related news.

So are we really believing that when the coaches visited him they didn’t talk to him that much?

With this Nesta and UF stuff, it’s becoming so clear all four of them are trying their best to create some drama around their announcement

On the money. Nesta is a cane lock and he's been playing these little games all year while still reassuring his commitment. He's a funny dude and he definitely wants that moment where he can troll the gators. This isn't a Jobe situation
