I always found it ridiculous how we're the only school in the country that gets punished for not offering players.

It doesn’t appear like any other Power 5 school in the country has this issue.

Hs staffs and schools catch feelings when they think a kid deserves an offer and doesn’t get one. We all know this. It’s personal to them. What I don’t get is why does this only seem to only bite us? I never hear this type of **** with bama, uf, uga, LSU, Ohio st. Etc. Saban isn’t offering every one of your kids. Meanwhile, cooper, Jackson, Ridley etc all wind up there.

Rivals front page top story. Surtain and info about Clemson, bama, and LSU. No miami. Either they are way off or our guys are. Will be nice to find out the truth sd.

since we are the local school we will never be held to that standard, we have to offer & take every so.fla kid, that's no way to run a successful program

This is what happens when there is no new information to report. This thread has gone WAY off the rails and it will only get worse as the days go on..LOL. The dead period will be 3 days of **** around here with all the "fake insiders and sources" coming out of nowhere.

Well you aren't going to like this but I figure someone is going to ask for the info.

Cane Sport just put out an update after talking to two separate sources regarding the American Heritage kids.

Silvera: 100% Cane per both sources.

Chatfield: Between Miami and UF and both sources claim that he's going to pick Florida.

Surtain: One source says LSU is the favorite while the other said Bama but both said they doubt Miami even has a chance.

Campbell: One source said that it's Georgia, Bama and Miami in that order and the other source said 100% chance he ISN'T going to Miami

They asked one of the sources why Miami is having trouble with American Heritage kids and the source mentioned that AH wasn't happy with Miami offering Berrios over McKenzie back in 2014 or when they didn't offer Michel's brother. Said that Miami offers the elite guys at the school but doesn't extend offers to the plan B guys but extend offers to questionable players at other locations.

Reading the last part seems pretty dumb considering it was a different coaching staff that made those choices. Either way, that's the update from Canesport this morning so do with that what you will.

Then on signing day, tens and tens of thousands of UF, Bama, TN, and LA fans are going to take a hit right between the eyes from a twenty pound sledge.

That's why the silence.

After signing day, UM will generally stay silent - and that in of itself will have the college football recruiting world crapping their little green apples.

They had a legitimate gripe AT THAT TIME.

McKenzie was arguably the most explosive player in Broward. And Dowels was 1st team All-State and had just won Defensive Player of the Year. He was the best CB in Broward.

Neither was offered by Miami. Instead we signed Braxton Berrios and Ryan Mayes.

Even with Berrios having one good season that was a recruiting fail.

I'm glad you brought up Wilson, cause he had a legitimate gripe too. His son should've been offered by Miami as well.

None of this matters NOW though. We're talking back then. I don't blame them for holding a grudge against Miami. We were ignoring the best players in our own backyard.

Why is this funny? It's past tense. Shouldn't be an issue anymore.

And you are right, shouldn't be an issue...If it is and Richt and Rumph can't smooth this over then either AH can go **** off with their little grudge or Richt/Rumph aren't good enough recruiters. My money is on this petty little feminine grudge being smoothed over with ease.

You think these local kids and coaches don't feel slighted when they're being offered by SEC schools yet their own home school doesn't even pay attention to them?

Meanwhile they turn around and sign players who are obviously inferior.

Aren't we the same fan base that talks **** about Shannon for not paying attention to certain high schools?

Again, this isn't happening under Richt but under Golden it was a legitimate issue.

Lol and how about all the back yard kids they are paying attention to? Let me guess 6'1.5 220 lb defensive end Chatfield has a grudge too?
What Georgia AND Bama did to Rashad Wildgoose is ok huh? But UM has to pay for an evaluation mistake on this Dowels kid for years huh?

If said kid has offers from UGA, Clemson, UF, FSU, etc...

Then it might be a legitimate gripe. Again, that's not happening now but it happened a lot under Golden. We ignored kids with offers like that in favor of kids with offers from Akron.

This...If Golden staff locks in Quincy alot of kids follow in that class and the classes that followed... need to make sure kids like Wilson/Bandy/Chatfield are locked in early they recruit for you and can lead inside and outside a locker room
