AH4 update

Supposedly they said the sources at heritage said they want to see miami offer more of their players in the 19 and 20 class. Said they see them offering all these guys at other local schools.

Last night both households (Surtain/Campbell) sounded the alarm and made it clear that there will be no leaks or sources from here on out. They didnt even post a pic or anything saying UM was even in talks with them at all. We are at the point where **** just got real. So I am not believing anything, anyone is saying about there recruitment from here on out unless it comes from their mouths. Will make for a boring next 6 days but it is what it is.

It’s worth noting that none of these kids hve posted anything from any of their in home visits with head coaches. That Georgia picture of TC and crew came from a family member.

Actually Tyson did. 1 time. With Miamis coaches.

Come on, bro. Berrios had like 5 less receptions last season ALONE than McKenzie had in his ENTIRE career at Georgia.

McKenzie also left as a Junior.

I'm not gonna get into this debate again. Anybody who thinks McKenzie wouldn't have been a huge value to us is silly. Berrios had a great Senior year but before that this wasn't even a discussion.

Miami has been offering AH players...Many of them soph year/junior year for a decade now and coming up with (outside of Herbert and the great Walt Tucker) mostly air.
The 19 and 20 classes, I'm sure Ibis and gogeta will tell us have some talent (the rb looks good but small), but there is no Surtain/Cambpell/Silvera at this time...That doesn't mean someone can't take that step at which time UM will be all over them.

If I'm Richt I'd tell them, "we'll offer who we please thank you, carry on"

He has never done many interviews anyway. I think Alabama is in this pretty hard too. It is hard to get the exact read on Miami. I am not saying they are not, but I can guarantee you that Alabama is.

Oh not sure, I have not talked to Hank about Campbell. I am starting to hear more and more about Bama in the last 12 hours. Just something I am watching. Lot going on, you dont land an elite CB like this without a battle. Plus he has an OV to Miami left.
UGA DC Mel Tucker will be there tomorrow and so will Alabama. Both Smart and Saban used their in-home visits last week

I have said it already on here, still think Campbell to UGA in the end. Not sugar coating it, lot closer right now than I thought a few days ago. Trust my sources here and some things I heard today.
So I will continue to watch it and listen to what I hear the next few days especially starting next Monday or so. This is NOT a slam dunk to UGA.

I like how some random guy he never met before maybe a few months ago "knows" all this but the guys own sister and cousin have no idea. That guy is selling his insider status hard.

That's fine but you're arguing two separate things and they're both based on unknown "potential". What McKenzie woulda/coulda done here and what he woulda/coulda did during another year of Georgia versus what Berrios actually did do in college.

The statement was who WAS more productive in college. Not who could've been.

As a general rule of thumb you should only pay attention to CS when they cite their source (e.g. when they interviewed Mcintosh's dad)

I'm not sure who they used as their "sources", but they're desperate to find any info to sealed recruitments, wouldn't surprise me if they interviewed old position coaches or even a teacher that will gladly regurgitate what he read online to feel like an insider.

Macheau dug his Spotbilt heels in long ago on McKenzie/Berrios. He's not going to change his opinion despite Berrios clearly being a better player, better leader, better teammate, better student and more clutch player.

Anyway, Richt and Rumph had all 4 of them in front of him last nite to iron all this stupidity out, if it even exists...Which I don't think it does. I believe it may have one point, just bc of the way AH has been anti-UM. But I don't believe it does anymore. If it does, everyone could have hashed their feelings out last nite.

Seriously. This is about UM, not THEM. This is about getting the best talent we can get, not making one high school happy. If you want what's best for these kids, you want them to play with the best at the next level, not drag along guys that won't contribute, and take up scholarships that more talented players should have.

I don't mind taking a flyer on a guy from time to time, but to act like we should offer kids that don't belong just so we can get the better kids one day, that's just stupid. Oh in 5 years you're going to have 4-5 top prospects, so we should be offering kids from your school every year? Guess what. If we do that, our team will SUCK, and those better players won't want to come here.

Well you aren't going to like this but I figure someone is going to ask for the info.

Cane Sport just put out an update after talking to two separate sources regarding the American Heritage kids.

Silvera: 100% Cane per both sources.

Chatfield: Between Miami and UF and both sources claim that he's going to pick Florida.

Surtain: One source says LSU is the favorite while the other said Bama but both said they doubt Miami even has a chance.

Campbell: One source said that it's Georgia, Bama and Miami in that order and the other source said 100% chance he ISN'T going to Miami

They asked one of the sources why Miami is having trouble with American Heritage kids and the source mentioned that AH wasn't happy with Miami offering Berrios over McKenzie back in 2014 or when they didn't offer Michel's brother. Said that Miami offers the elite guys at the school but doesn't extend offers to the plan B guys but extend offers to questionable players at other locations.

Reading the last part seems pretty dumb considering it was a different coaching staff that made those choices. Either way, that's the update from Canesport this morning so do with that what you will.

This is how I saw it for awhile now. If anyone listened to surtain sr on that radio show the other day, it's pretty clear they are choosing between lsu and bammer.
