Let me explain for the dense and dunecappers why silence is golden.
Y'all frequent this board. Some of y'all are sophisticated enough to navigate Twitter. You should know by now that recruits often, if not typically, take a photo with visiting coaches, especially if the head coach is in the house. You know the ones. Taggart in living rooms tricking kids into thinking that thick rimmed glasses means he's a man with a plan. Mullen wearing supersized khakis from the 90's so he can sneak extra cornbread out of the house. Saban looking short and miserable as he hands over a fresh set of car keys. Chop, chomp, cheddar. That **** gets posted on Instagram or Twitter almost immediately by the kid or somebody in the family.
Mark Richt is a big deal. We've got it on good authority he's visiting the AH4 tonight, in-home. And if he's standing in living rooms right now, our beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ knows those families are snapping pictures with him. And yet, we see nothing. Why? Why would that be? Are the kids embarrassed by their interest in Miami? By Mark Richt? **** no. Of course not.
And we haven't heard a peep from the staff. No flamboasting, no bombast, no hashtags.
Why? Because everybody is intentionally keeping things quiet. To keep the bagmen away. To keep the pressure off. To make a splash on National Signing Day. To frighten the rest of the college football universe.
Here, have some.
