you could tell richt wasnt really happy after such a good win and its becuase HIS offense was a shytshow
Call me a *****, but I want no part of Texas A&M right now.
Copy that, thanks.that actually may have been on purpose since they have gone more to rugby style kicking instead of putting air under the ball to go 40 yards up and 35 yards long.
Pitt’s offensive line was one of 10 nominated for the Joe Moore Award for best O-Line unit in the country and had been averaging over 350 yards rushing per game in their 4 game winning streak prior to this game.
Good summary of the finale against Pitt. @Stefan Adams would question your assessment of the OL last couple games. Canes have averaged 350 yards on ground and OL has kept Perry somewhat clean when attempting passes.
Perry still raw at position, but wonder would he be better had he played all year, (might be broken beyond repair).
As you said receivers atrocious, can just imagine how much more efficient offense would be if we had Payton and Haselwood lining up in place of Langham/Cager and Harley
Thanks for your work this year.
You're a dumb a##I disagree that the WR group will be a question mark in 2019. Too much talent among that group and Dugans will have them motivated to live up to expectations imo.
You can tell a lot of those players weren’t use to being counted on like that Jeff Thomas was a security blanket that allowed them to both play their roles quietly and also complain about playing time.
But now when ur number gets called you see why you barely played all season lol it’s a good learning lesson for them and I think this season will pay off.
It's the worst O'Line in since the mid '90's.I would have to disagree on the O-Line. The stats simply do not back that up. They actually averaged under 200 yards per game rushing on the season (197 ypg, 44th in FBS) and did not hit 350 rushing yards in any single game, so not sure where you're getting that from. Miami is 64th in the country in sacks allowed at 2.17 per game and it's a credit to Perry that the number is not much worse: he escaped a lot of immediately collapsing pockets this season.

In terms of advanced analytics, the O-Line is actually worse in every statistical category than they were in 2017 when the line was considered mediocre at best.
The categories: Line Yards, Std. Downs Line Yards, Pass. Downs Line Yards, OppprtunityRate, Power Success Rate, Stuff Rate, Sack Rate, Std. Downs Sack Rate, Pass. Downs Sack Rate.

All of this against one of the easiest schedules in the Power 5 mind you.
I was going to write an article breaking these numbers down further, but I feel like most understand this is just not a good O-Line, don't need 1,000 words to tell you that. If there's interest, I will write it though.
