Aeneas Hawkins 2018 DT - Cincinnati Moeller

I say recruit all DT's with fury. If he's a beast DT and I'm betting my wad, it'll be OSU. They got one school and it's sacred to the kids up there, their teaches, friends, parents and coaches. Some leave, but if there are 10 studs in Ohio, black eyes gets 9.

Not true a high percentage of studs always choose other schools. Notre Dame hit Cinci pretty hard, especially at TE.....The thing with Ohio is very good players don't always go to camps and get overlooked by services and by OSU cuz they're not a early 4*...Leveon Bell 2* played 10 minutes away in HS.....very good hs player tried to get offer coaches wasn't interested... only a few MAC offers close to signing day Michigan St. offered. He took over the backfield as a frosh never looked back. I see this happening all the time....MSU roster is filled with underrated Ohio players you see where they are in the spotlight. Michigan studs...... rb Daveon Smith, TE Jake Butt, LB Bolden, DE Taco Charlton lto name a few are all from Ohio....Ohio is prolly the 4th or 5th best state for recruiting. The entire Big 10 has Ohio players......and let's not forget the same team that we just lost to by 10 pts Cinci has several as well.....
No kid that goes to Moeller is getting overlooked by any school if he can play. One of the too football schools in Cincinnati along with St. X and Colerain
don't forget there's also LaSalle, Elder in Cinci ....... Trottwood and Wayne 20 minutes away in Dayton. OSU recruit all over Ohio.....Glenville, St. Eds, Pickerington , Middletown, Columbus schools etc.... Moe had a down year it would be easy to overlook him at this point. He said OSU hasn't contacted him yet.
yeah true . Lasalle only just got good recently because of their running back Larkin thats going to Cincinnati I believe . Elder has been average and Wayne hasnt really been that good since Braxton Miller was there. Idk what car you driving to make it fron Cincy to Dayton in 20 minutes lol
You are completely lost......lol. Wayne is the best in the area.....lost to St. Ed's in the d-1 championship 2 years in a row representing its region with St.X, Colerain and Moeller......

Elder is a big Catholic school pushing out D-1 talent with multiple state championships..... Lasalle won back to back state d-2 championships with a new coach.....ok i mighta been a little off on the travel..... trust me the outskirts of Cinci to Dayton is closer than 1 hour. It doesn't take more than a half hour.... I guess it all depends on the route my point is......Dayton, Columbus and Cinci are all in the same region when it comes to sports...

Well the verdict is still out on him. He hasn't played a lick of varsity football as of yet. His film is a reserve film, varsity teams in Ohio plays at night. That last name carry some weight I guess.

I like the young man's film, I doubt he leaves the Big 10 ( OSU, Mich, MSU)

Go Canes

Yes very good film but go through any kid who plays on a jr varsity in Fla. film will look that impressive too! Night games are for varsity, day games for JV in Ohio. Once kid makes then we can make a verdict too many times kids get offered because of camps and writers and they really don't know who the kid truly is. Father and Uncle that played in league does wonders...

Exactly......now this kid looks like the next big daddy Dan Wilkinson with multiple OOS offers based on JV film...lol seriously, I will say the GCL and teams like Colerain always field huge 300+ kids on the lines at the JV level. OSU went to Cinci City league to get Winton Woods DT Jerron Cage. Tried to tell the other poster above OSU get players from all over Ohio this kid isn't a priority.

Jerron Cage has been playing varsity sense he was a freshman. So he's different, he stood out on some sub par warriors teams. Now the Gcl doesn't have huge 300 plus on jr level Colerain doesn't even field jr teams with lineman like that.your a funny dude...let's be honest only 4 teams in gcl and most of there lines are not that good on jr varsity. If they are good they are varsity level. Lets be honest. Moeller has alot of good defensive lineman that hasn't received a power 5 offer, so you tell me. And Dayton is 45 minutes from Cincy...

Wayne has been the best for two years recruiting in ohio getting 30 transfers from those years..

We are pretty much saying the same thing......except I've seen GCL lineman on the bench over 300... I assumed some of them get JV reps.....Wayne has always had transfers from Springfield and surrounding schools it's nothing new.. Braxton Miller etc...Trottwood and Wayne are no different from Glenville......you gotta recruit to compete with the GCL they get kids from everywhere....My initial point was to the poster above .....Wayne is the top dog in that region right now.

Do you mean for the upcoming year? Because Wayne is not the top program overall in R4.
Wayne is region 2 D-1 highest level in Ohio...there are talks of having 4 D-1 regions coming next season...they'd still be with close by Cinci schools..
Here's 2015 region 2 playoff seedings...click on Wayne and you will see the schedule... http://www.joeeitel.com/hsfoot/region.jsp?region=2&year=2015

He wasn't big enough to play varsity, although he did get 'called up' at the end of last season due to some injuries. He's grown a lot in the last year. O$U is keeping a close eye on him, and he's about as much of a priority for them as it's possible to be at this point.

I believe he will be good once he gets his chance, but knowing what I know and have seen the varsity coaches have the d line hold their gaps and allow the backers to make the play. He was able to do what he wanted on jr varsity by the coaches...Different level once o varsity with there team with scheme and he has to stay healthy often hurt.

I just assumed that the regions were the same as basketball. But got it. I'm familiar with the area, and Wayne is not known as the top program there at all.

Anyone that knows anything about Ohio football respect the history of those great Catholics schools down there.... The argument is about whats going on NOW! Wayne beat Moeller and Colerain two years in a row.... word on the streets they're loaded again....Moe 2012-13 titles were the first since Faust coached them to four national titles in the 80s....those were the only two titles for the big Cinci Catholic schools since 2008.....Wayne, pickerington Central and Davidson beat them 5 out of 7.....recruiting Trottwood and Wayne have always sent multiple kids to D-1 schools... several schools in the area making noise now..... there seems to be more parody from Central to Southern Ohio than ever before .....big Catholic St. Ed's (N. Ohio) is now the power in all of Ohio D-1....... use to get beat by Ohio's greatest football school ever St. Ignatius all the time......
