According to PFF Francisco and Gore are the top Dlineman and LB in the portal

JHH, LT, Lichtenstein, and Gore are all proven players. Having 4 guys rotating isn't the end of the world. It's actually equivalent or better depth than we've had at any time I can remember not counting last season.

The Jackson loss is what's throwing our calibration off. I know we want someone who could take Jackson's role but the chances are low. Moten needs to step up and be that guy. Or we just need to adjust the defense to be more penetration oriented, play bigger LBs who can slip a guard and come up and fill the gaps if necessary. Not go full Manny. But if Moten can't plug like Jackson and Miller, make the needed adjustments.

They missed on the MSU DT but saying chances are low Jackson can be replaced is way premature. So many people want to believe the portal is almost done. It's nowhere close

Gore’s basically has the same measurables as Aaron Donald did at Pitt. You don’t want all your tackles to be that size but his motor is non stop.

Relatively quiet vs SC but terrorized UNC. Dont look at stats watch the game highlights...he was blowing up a ton of plays.

Also noticed he had 8 tackles vs Army in 2021 in a loss. Not that Army is some juggernaut but they frustrate a lot of DL and wear on your.

****. 6'4" 300 lbs and in that clip it looked like he was lined up at DE. Impressive athleticism. Going to be a steal for someone IMO. Kinda annoys me that we aren't in the picture given the need at DT. What exactly is Salavea doing? Mario just keeping him around to keep our Polynesian players happy?

I don’t know if that’s accurate but the concern with him initially was how well he could croot. He’s not surpassed a relatively low expectation bar.

I'm not saying we shouldn't take a DT. I agree we should provided they aren't desperate adds. We've seen enough "specials" over the years to know one when we see one. Moultrie was one last season, and he actually had film and stats. This kid has nothing.
