wow, SMU is clearly the new darling of the ACC........ The entire panel on the afternoon show is so negative about the Canes... Packer sounds like a child. Mainly directed at the defense but also a negative vibe about the whole team... As soon as Miami lost to Ga Tech they couldn't wait to pick up the SMU mantle.

They are at the Duke game this weekend and Manny is another favorite. They think he should be a strong candidate for Coach of the year....


In other news,
SMU, Pitt , Duke, Ga Tech BC and UVA all exceeded their projected win totals for the season already.

They've had SMU a lot on the ACCN primetime package, and that's never healthy for a group of announcers. Most glaring example of this for me is Nantz and Romo whenever they do a Bills game.

Acc is so bad on so many levels. And yet people still don't understand why the conference is laughed at on the national level. An absolute afterthought.

We've seen what this team is for 10 games already. We have a ton of holes on the team. Analyst are probably hedging by picking SMU.

With that said we have the talent to beat SMU and should still make the playoffs and win the ACC. No excuses.

It's stupid and I hate it but unfortunately it matters. Polls, rankings, playoff spots - all are driven by media perception as much as winning percentage and stats.

Is our defense crappy right now? It absolutely is.

Are we 9-1 with a Heisman-level quarterback, the most prolific offense in the **** country, and a better record than Bama, UGA, Tennessee, and Clemson? Also yes.

And yet we got twatwaffles calling us frauds and pumping up 3-loss SEC teams for the playoffs.

Bottom line is we are what our record says we are. Beat WF and Cuse, leave no excuses to have to beg our way into the playoff picture.

It just sucks to have the slimmest margin for error, knowing that one more loss (again, putting us with the same record as the aforementioned media darlings) and we'll take a nose dive so far down the polls we'll be playing the crew of the Titan submarine in the Marina Trench bowl with Booger and Company chanting "SEC SEC" all the way down.

I hear you but we’ve also been propped up at the start of seasons for years. Anytime we’ve started out good, we then ultimately **** the bed. We get hyped up and ppl want to get excited about us, then we lose to the UVA, GTs, Pitts, etc…Clemson has gets the benefit of the doubt around the CFB world due their years of consistency. I guarantee if we weren’t constantly nosediving season after season, we wouldn’t be dealing with these slim

Exactly this.

Its what ESPN having the rights to the CFP rankings show is so terrible. Its not a discussion about the rankings. Its an opportunity to set the narrative. They have a product to sell and that's what they do.

ESPN has a financial interest in the success of the SEC. Their competitor is FOX, and FOX's product is the B1G. They're selling a 3 loss SEC because its their product.

What a joke.

Have you seen the defense? Even D’no thinks these guys give up too many big plays, and he used the Prevent as his base.
