Gutierrez was excellent until he threw away the first game of the College World Series. He was great prior to that. 27th pick overall... I attended that game and sat in the Bulldog section by accident. Spent a fortune on that ticket.

We almost made it back with a grandslam against Stanford in the 3rd game, but the ball died close to the wall..... (We also sent Martin home that year, which was great.)
