ACC Team Recruiting Rankings as of 2-5-25

I didn’t want to make a new thread on him but any info on this kid? @gogeta4 . Class of 2027 and already a 4 star out of McCarthur so I figured you might have heard of him.

Clemson has fallen off, that is FACT. Last 2 regular seasons they have gone 8-4 and 9-3. That is 17-7 last 2 seasons while Miami is 17-8.

That is a far cry from when they were going 14-1 or 15-0 and were National Champions.

No one is saying downfall in terms of 6-6 type program. They are saying downfall in terms of what they were when they were a top 4 team in College football year in and year out.

NOW, this season they should be a legit top 4-7 type team. After this season they are in trouble unless they are more aggressive in the portal. They simply lose too much. They signed the #26 class this season.

if u follow them the last two years its been alot of one score GAMES, 2 or 3 ot game losses. Bunch of games that couldve went either way.

Thats why i warn ppl on them. TALENT WISE i still believe they have the best overall rosters in the conference.

They signed the 26 class this year BECAUSE They only took 15. Thei rplayer rankinhs are just about the same as ours.

To me its been the coaching that fell off a bit.

you are spot on
its bc they know how to stack talent along the lines on a yearly basis
as long as you keep stacking DTs and Oline youll always have a high floor
thats why taking O line and D line personal every other year or every 3 years is a problem
we followed up scott/jones with Jag central
same way as we followed Samson/Francis with jag central
and I know recruits arent scared off bc we stack DE the way elite teams should
but for other positions our fans keep making every excuse possible to justify the subpar recruiting

This.

They havent slowed down on recruiting and landing the elite dl on a year to year basis and their guys stay at minimum 3 years there.

First, I want to be clear, I think Clemson is the favorite to win ACC in 2025. They return the most off a team that won 10 games. There is a ton of continuity on the team especially on offense.

With that said, I think Miami is every bit as good in the trenches and in some areas better than Clemson. Clemson got absolutely trucked on the ground last season. I think returning the DL, adding the Purdue DE from portal, and getting Tom Allen as new DC will improve that unit this year, but man they were bad rush defense last season.

UGA-169 yards rushing-UGA ranked #102 in rushing offense last season
App State-149 yards rushing
N.C. State-179 yards rushing
Stanford-236 yards rushing
Louisville-210 yards rushing-Miami gave up 106 yards rushing to Louisville
Citadel-288 yards rushing
South Carolina-267 yards rushing
SMU-154 yards rushing
Texas-292 yards rushing--the most rushing yards in a single game Texas had all season


Miami's overall OL is better than Clemson's although it was improved. I think a healthy Rueben Bain is better than any Clemson DL they have.
 
norvell has turned fsu into a g5 program and clemson is starting to slip recruiting wise. Mario really needs to continue rattling 10+ win seasons here given the recruiting deficiencies in the rest of the acc

I agree with you. A couple of years ago it was Clemson, Alabama and everyone else. I think they'll remain a top 15 team. But they've fallen for sure
