A note about Golden and grades...

In Golden's first two years, only three players have failed to qualify out of HS: Kevin Grooms, Angelo Jean-Louis and Taylor Gadbois (who had other issues).

That's three kids out of almost 50 signees. And that includes guys like Ricardo Williams, Dequan Ivery, Jacoby Briscoe and a few other kids who had rumored grade issues.

Just something to think about when you're sweating Bostwick and AQM.

Hurlie Brown is an unsung hero on this staff. That is one of his major responsibilities

Pretty sure ND wouldn't have been recruiting him seriously if he had a grades problem. They don't even bother with those types of kids.

Have a hard time believing a high character/high profile kid from a private school like dbp isn't going to qualify. Maybe I'm wrong. kid seems well spoken and from a good family.

Agreed, also I don't believe Golden and his staff would have pursued the kid as hard as they did if they didn't believe he would be admitted.
