He didn't score much in those losses. Again, have you watched football in this decade? 22 points against Mississippi State? Good lord. That's a game from the 1980's.
 
Kentucky, who only plays defense, scored more against Mississippi State than Air Lane did.

It's easy to pump up that points per game stat when you put up 59 against Central Arkansas and 52 against Vanderbilt.

3-10 against lsu proves my point. It is rare for ole miss to beat lsu. Its basically wake forest vs florida state in the acc. It takes good coaching to win that game because talent is not equal.

Ummmm, the point was Freeze beat LSU while they were good; Kiffin did not beat a good or lose to a good LSU squad.

2020: LSU 5-5
2021: LSU 6-7
2022: LSU 9-4

Kiffin have had the luxury of playing LSU where the talent level has dipped. I’ve already pointed out that the whole “overmatched” argument during this season was overblown. LSU had 14 blue chips w/ heavy snap counts this season while Ole Miss had 10 blue chips. That’s well under what LSU normally field.

Freeze on the other hand, had to face a much tougher LSU squad.

2012: LSU 10-3
2013: LSU 10-3
2014: LSU 8-5
2015: LSU 9-3
2016: LSU 8-4

Agreed but freeze also had crazy good classes with his violations.

History still says ole miss doesnt beat lsu often. Thats why i used the wake fsu comparison.

20 against LSU......LSU gave up 35 to Florida and 38 to Texas A&M. Not a good defense.
