A bit OT, but DTR chose poorly...by going with Chip & UCLA

His dad needs to grow a pair and let his son grow up, at least see the first month of the season out first.

Sounds like the kids dad is a whiny little bxtch but DTR made a mistake committing to UCLA if he ever planned on having a successful cfb career.

They suck and it’s going to take Chip Kelly longer than 4 years to turn that team into a respectable program under Chip. Either way I don’t see anything beyond 9 wins max as the best Chip will be able to do in maybe 5 or 6 years.

UCLA has always confused me. Sure they are second fiddle to USC and have been notoriously cheap, but they ought to be able to consistently win and actually field very good teams from time to time. They sit on top of, arguably, the best talent base in the country.

Yet they have a career winning percentage of .582 and shared one national championship (1954).
I figured Kelly was likely to get exposed at UCLA, but somebody has to win there sometime, right?

Not shocked at all really.

Remember, when Chip Kelly first came on the scene he was running that fast pace offense that no one had really used or seen before and were unprepared for. Now everyone just fakes injuries when you go up tempo. So what is Kelly's advantage now? He is a good offensive mind but he isn't good enough to produce the results he had at Oregon.

His offense was a gimmick that everyone knows how to defend now. Will he be good at UCLA? sure but if your expecting him to produce what he did at Oregon don't hold your breath.

Problem is nobody really gives af about UCLA football south of the I-10 Freeway which is where all the talent is. The only time a kid from South of the I-10 considers UCLA is if USC dont offer and they dont want to leave the city. Its hard to win when most of your talent comes from the Valley and IE.

I am more surprised at Frost's 0-2 start than Kelly's 2 home losses. Kelly does not have the roster for his offense, and will need time to rebuild. This is a cliche but applies here.

Frost did lose his FR QB. That didn't help matters. Adrian Martinez looked good in his debut loss to Colorado (15-20-187-1-1 passing, 15 carries for 117 and 2 TDs.) but missed the Troy game with an injury. If Martinez comes back this season it looks like Frost has his QB.

Sounds like a Dad that needs to shut the **** up. Your boy is in college, time for him grow a pair and be a man.

Chip's lack of success at UCLA is one of the biggest shockers in CFB this year. Bigger disappointment than Scott Frost going 0-2 at Nebraska

These guys were left with trash.

There are like two players on UCLA that are not true freshmen that might play in the NFL. MIGHT.

Chip will fail at UCLA,,,, when Oregon took off USC was on probation and hiring awful coaches
-- Besides, some many schools are running his offense .. therefore easier to prepare for and defend

So when we're looking for a coach, Kelly is everybody's dream but we sadly know we won't get him. Just think how awesome his offense would be with our players!!

Now that he's back in college it turns out that everybody knew his offense was just a gimmick that was easy to figure out. No real surprise he's not doing well, we knew he wasn't really that good the whole time!!

God, we're so smart.
