I was disappointed that Lewis wasn't more involved in the offense last night, especially considering we weren't clicking.

Lewis is a guy that always gets open and moves the chains.

He has great hands and is one of the more reliable players on the offense, so here's to hoping we see him on the field more next Saturday.

He came back from his injury REAL quick, so I'm not surprised they babied him the first game in vs a scrub team. He's bound to get more burn (and more productive) as the season moves along.

I would still like to see him redshirt this season. My guess is he isnt heavily involved in the offense til mid season anyway.

Not happening.

a.) I'm sure he's a competitor and wouldn't allow it. You don't think his quick recovery was due to his perseverance to play this season?
b.) we will definitely need him in the rotation this season, especially with the Scott injury

i think alot of coley was possibly a decoy. perhaps saying stuff until next week

wouldnt mind seeing him at PR and catching some of Hurns bubbles

/I want anybody but Hurns catching those bubbles

Yessir. Mentioned this in my review. No way Hurns should get that many, if any, bubble screens. That alone tells me we were working with a "**** you, UF" playbook yesterday.

I was never sure why so many people were so high on Hurns. He has OK hands, but still does not look comfortable/natural as a WR and his production is spotty. I would love to see him step his game up and produce more, but I def believe we have way more talented options.

herb waters could have put up huge numbers yesterday, i feel like them targeting hurns so much was for a reason. they didnt unleash the offense, took what was given,.

ummm buddy we through Hurns screen passes. Something he doesnt do or hasnt done much here...Hurns is a route runner...middle OF FIELD possesion guy. He's the guy we throuhh the back shoulder pass to.

part of why hurns plays a role is because dorsett is always breaking from his route. hurns at least runs his route well.

Dorsett is a good college receiver...but he's a one trick pony. His speed is his major asset and it definitely has a place in the offense, but the kid offers absolutely nothing after the catch and has zero "wiggle" in his game.

It boggles my mind we're using Dorsett on returns...especially with all the talent we have at the skill positions now. I'd really like to see Lewis handle some of the return duties.

Oh...and I'd be absolutely shocked if we don't see him in the slot at least some this upcoming saturday.

My point exactly...he's not a receiver with an elite skill set, and one that can be a game changer. He is what he is, a solid possession receiver that is an OK move-the-chains guy

Man you got to take it easy with Malcolm he got to work his way back slowly you don't want to rush it... Trust me I broke my femur my first year in college and I came back fast my speed was still there but it was straight line speed but when it came to making cuts and change of directions I was off and I had trouble breaking tackles I had weight room strength but the man power wasn't there... Trust me by FSU game he will be ready to make some plays...

I was thinking the same thing OP.... Malcolm Lewis is sure handed and is electric w/ the ball in his hands. I think he is more elusive then Herb Waters in the open field.

I just think J. Coley held back a lot and since Lewis had that injury he was the odd man out against FAU but i'm hoping he gets a lot of burn against Florida b/c he is an impact player imo.

I like Garrett Kidd as a WR6 who can get in a couple of plays here and there, but yeah. Malcolm not gonna be redshirting this year.
