Michael O'Conner was the #6 Pro Style QB for 2014 rated by both ESPN & Rivals.. O'Conner played his High School ball at IMG Academy with Tyree St. Louis, so that could play in our favor..

He was an early commit & early enrollee at Penn State, he wanted to play for Bill O'Brien.. O'Brien left for the NFL and Penn State hired
James Franklin one week before O'Conner was due on campus.. With all that was going on, O'Conner still honored his commitment..
Then on top of that QB Trace McSorley followed Franklin from Vanderbilt to Penn State...

We are very thin at QB... Kaaya is our starter for next year but Rosier is our only other scholarship QB on the roster... I did read that Ryan Williams has applied for a Medical Redshirt, and if that happens the position gets stronger...

Lawson is coming in for 2015 & Allison 2016 (nothings guaranteed up until they sign there LOI)...

O'Conner would have to sit a year, but to think if Lawson, & Allison stick and O'Conner came to The U, the QB position would be a position of strength again...

O'Conner has to sit a year if he transfers to a D1 school anyway...

Now, if Kaaya is as good as advertised, then more then likely he's gone after 2016...

So, O'Conner still has 2 years of eligibility left and we have a true competition at QB... No different then what might happen with our RB position for next year, or in the heyday's at The U when we had Kosar, Testaverde, Walsh

QBs that transfer usually don't work out. In most cases, they aren't good enough and come with bad habits. We need to be recruiting some good talent and developing the **** out of them as soon as they arrive here. Hopefully this 2016 kid from Palmetto sticks but I doubt it.

He's leaving because he wants to play. I'm sure he'd love to board this sunken ship and sit behind Kaaya for the rest of his career. Great post, shytzee.

Kid didn't sign up to play for Franklin he wanted to play for O'Brien

He wasn't afraid to sit and wait because Hackenberg was a Sophomore this year just like Kaaya will be next year... Hackenberg was Big 10 Freshman of the Year, similar to Kaaya being the ACC Freshman of the Year

Now if you had any knowledge of the game, you might have known that before writing your **** *** comment... Then again a little ****** like you might be afraid of competition, seems as though O'Connor's not

But that's all you do French Fry is make Dumb *** Comments

He's leaving because he wants to play. I'm sure he'd love to board this sunken ship and sit behind Kaaya for the rest of his career. Great post, shytzee.

Now that 2015 QB Dwayne Lawson has decommitted from Miami, going after O'Conner makes all the sense in the world. He provides a very good stop gap on the depth Chart for the 2016 & 2017 season. An with the Ryan Williams supposedly now applying for a 6th year medical hardship waiver, if granted he could provide a good security blanket if Kaaya gets hurt next season.

The only thing is staff has to wait for Micheal O'Conner to call them as a transfer student an during the dead period they can't bring him in for an official visit to Miami. I am not sure if he has followed Miami at all to know that UM would be a good option for him. He may reach out to Chris Wienke at IMG Academy as his former coach to help him decide on a good landing spot, an would Weinke steer him toward UM at this point?

Go Canes

Got my same last name so I'll take him. I hate to say it but last name, O'Connor, would be a perfect fit for ND

Also there would enough spacing between the classes if Oconnor did transfer to UM that all the QB's would get at two years to start, taking into account redshirting everyone's first year.

Allison had a ****** year anyway. You guys check his stats? Don't know the exact numbers but sawthem the other day and I was not impressed. It was like 1,800 yards 14TDs and like 12Ints

I thought AG said recently that Williams is not eligible for a medical extra yr. also that he is playing in one of the post season games for seniors. RW is done.
