Artie is gonna hurt somebody feelings at that Dime spot. Not sure he will be ready for Nickel action yet. But u gotta be excited about Jenkins and Bush with Carter backing them up!

Agree with the poster that said seeing EC get into the action is great news! We will really need him if we gonna make a serious run at the ACC title.

this year is the beginning of a great run of years of REAL CANES STYLE SECONDARY! Burns and howard and jenkins and bush and Carter plus some others got me real excited ...and they are all young.

I would ease off fellating anyone just yet based on what they did in 7/7. Just my two cents.

You are right sir. Fans do this every year at some point during the months right before fall practice starts. Our guys look huge, fast, and ready to compete with every and anybody. Then the games start and they realize how slow, little, and ill-equipped our team is when compared to the rest of the college football world.

Good reads D, appreciate it. We need Kirby and P-MAN to be monsters this year. Can't have it any other way.

it is reminescent of how we used to field a plethora of studs in the secondary. we just have to complement them w/ DTs.

The team had a quick 7-on-7 session during the lunch hour of the Al Golden camp. Some observations:

- Stephen Morris is heads and shoulders above the other quarterbacks. His arm is as strong as ever and he's really tightened up his accuracy. Dorsett was his favorite target and the two connected all over the field.

- Larry Hope took an out-route from Ryan Williams to the house and broke up another deep ball intended for Dorsett. He looked much improved. Rayshawn Jenkins ran down another Ryan Williams INT while showing off his terrific range. Williams's third INT went to Artie Burns, who showed some unreal click-and-close ability in taking a pick to the house.

- Jamal Carter looks huge at safety. He weighed in at 205 and he may not be done getting bigger. Eduardo Clements participated and did not seem to have any limitations.

- Deon Bush, Alex Gall and Clive Walford sat out with injuries/illness.

They didn't work very long, but the biggest takeaway for me is that Artie Burns looks ready to play right away at cornerback.

That's for all you folks that kept talkin that safety nonsense during recruiting season.

Put the boy at corner and let him dominate.
