This class is loaded and there is no question about it. What Al has done with mediocre records and dark NCAA clouds above the program is mindblowing on the recruiting trail. The only concern left for this class is the safety position. We are losing Rodgers and Highsmith which is addition by subtraction if you ask me but we don't have much behind them numbers wise. We currently don't have any safeties committed and only have Carter, Jenkins and Bush on our 2 deep coming back. Who is realistic that we can pull for S as we haven't heard too many names thrown around for that position. Gunter has played some safety which helps but we need some more help back there depth wise.

Honestly the 14' class is light at safeties you would use a ship on. 15' we will address it and heavily

We still need another JUCO DT. We are losing Robinson, Porter and Renfrow and replacing them with King, Moore, Whyche and maybe Stuckey.

Would love to have gayot...I Like Michael Johnson's film but for whatever reason the staff isn't interested

Would love an impact Juco safety in this class. We need immediate help in the two deep NOW, and that's not something that can be addressed in the 2015 class.

In 2014 we have:

Bush
Jenkins

Carter (he just must have a huge offseason - we're going to need him bad)

Can't even NAME anyone after that off the top of my head. Even Jags. Anyone? We might have to use Gunter there.

Not even sure we can put together a decent 2-deep there right now, god forbid an injury. I'm not willing to count on a freshman, especially when they haven't even signed yet.

Give me a Juco.

this guy looks like we might be missin out if we dont take a look

D'Onofrio knows about him. He went to Miami's camp last summer. Was one of the top-10 fastest guys there when everybody raced head-to-head. Verrrrry physical. Without question, would be Miami's hardest hitter in the secondary.

I wasn't running the defense there last year. He played OLB for me. The new staff moved him to Safety but ironically chose to blitz him most of the time. (why not just leave him at OLB then?)

Anyways, here's his Sophomore tape when he played OLB for me. Had 8 sacks in 3 games then he got hurt. (out for season) UNC is talking to him daily.

So he's a Sophomore or junior?

Junior.

Is there any communication at all from UM? Wouldn't mind seeing him at LB here.

Between his head coach and D'Onofrio, yes. Between Adrienne and UM, no.

I don't think he's gonna grow into a LB. He's 193 right now and he's got tiny waist. If you could see what he looks like in person then you'd know exactly where I'm coming from. When I took him to the Miami camp D'Onofrio told him to work with the DB's.

I put him at Safety for the summer. We were going to some 7-on-7 tournaments and we were short at the Safety spot. I taught him the reads and a week later he was looking like an animal back there. If he wasn't picking the ball then he was arriving as soon as the WR caught it to decapitate him. He's got very smooth hips and he's got 4.4 speed. I think you sign the kid, redshirt him and see how he grows. If he stays around the 195-210 range then you keep him at Safety. If he blows up then you've got an ultra athletic LB.

If we sign our expected recruits at RB would we have enough depth that Dallas could play safety??
