#51 as of 12/6...where do we end on 2/2?

Aren’t most signings nowadays 12/15? At least many of the top 4 and 5 Star players. That’s lots of commits in 9 days…

He can tell guys to wait till after 12/15 and give him a chance to show what he he has to offer. The guys could always sign with their original choices after that.

20 without portal. 5 bigtime portal transfers. No idea what that does to the rankings.

It's going to be a VERY interesting ride over the next 2 months as Mario hits the ground running. He's already spoken to Jacurri Brown before he's even been introduced as Head Coach. He knows he's behind the 8ball for this class. I'm so interested to see what he can put together for 2022 with this short runway.

Everything depends on whether these services will start counting transfers.

I think we will be around #25 if the HS players make up most of the ranking. Number of HS seniors may not eclipse 20, but the star-average is going to be incredible. Gonna take a bunch of guys from the Portal, so if Rivals/247 give us full credit for transfers, then we could break into the Top 15-20.

As of now they do not so I was referring to the number on the composite when the ink dries. I think Top 20 is reasonable, Top 15 would be exceptional.
 
recruiting rankings are biased to full/large classes. you can't be a top class if you only have 14-15 spots maximum like UM has this year. you can fill your class with nothing but 4 ad 5 stars, but if you only have a dozen kids you can bring in, you're not going to be the top rated class. you sign 28 kids, you are likely to get a bump in the rankings

by my calculation, this was always going to be a small class. Maybe 12-13 guys, and 2-3 from the portal in January, at best.

focus on quality, not total numbers or "rankings"
