5 Wide WRs....Question for the board

In case everyone forgot, Dorsett is a ******* stud.

Kid had 58 catches for 842 yards (4 tds) his sophomore year.

Also, Scott had a very good year in 2012.

If it wasn't for the fact those two got hurt early on last season, I think we'd all be singing their praises.

Obviously, Coley is the most talented and the fastest out of the bunch, but don't count out Scott and Dorsett just yet.

1. Coley
2. Dorsett
3. Scott
4. Lewis
5. Waters
6. Jones
7. Kidd

Someone is bound to be open on every play.

We have a true #1 in Coley and a solid #2 in Dorsett that can stretch the field, but remember he kinda is a one trick point albeit very good at that trick. He isnt very good in and out of his breaks. After that we have talent but lets not overreact as we have since 2009 when according to our fanbase we were a top 5 unit nationally. I will agree this is the best we have had in a while, and Coley is the main reason for that but outside of him the talent is decent but nothing that great. I do think before M Lewis' injury a one two punch of him and Coley would be a lethal combo that could make some noise, but lets see what happens with him this fall. Yes he looks better but its hard to put any stock into spring practice.

You make a very reasonable argument, and I certainly would not go as far as saying we are Top 5 nationally. But would you say there is a better WR core in the ACC?
Top to bottom I still like FSU and maybe even Clemson, until somebody steps up for us. Clemson's offense under Morris is really WR friendly.

Huh. They have Greene and then no one who has caught balls in college football.

Coley is in his own class and make this group dangerous. He helps all of them. He makes if hard to take Dorsett one trick off the table. If you have to drop coverage deep to stay in front of Dorset and have to double Coley, a ton of underneath stuff should be open. We have to get back to using TEs like we used to. Without Coley, the rest of group can be handled by good teams. With Coley and Duke on the field, only bad coaching can stop this offense. Oh, and only getting the ball once a quarter because of some stupid bend don't break defense.

Just wrote how nasty our WR core is in another thread. Hands down best 5 deep in the ACC.

The scary part was how healthy Malcolm Lewis looked in the last scrimmage. He got that burst back and is going to be a safety net for Olsen, kid knows how to get open.

For the first time in 10 years I feel like we finally have some difference makers. Now if the D could hurry up!
