For the 2014 season Miami will have a plethora of talent at WR.....
Coley
Dorsett
Scott
Waters
Lewis
Jones...improving a lot

TE...
Walford
Dobard
O'Donnell...has shown a lot of improvement

Sandland?

Combined with Olsen's mobility and our depth, do you guys see Coley going 5 wide on offense. Or what about one back sets? Maybe a 5 wide/4 wide offensive set could be something to keep defenses honest. I'm not saying it should be our base offense, but we have the depth and talent to give opposing D Coords fits.

We just need Baby Jesus OR Kaaya...to distribute and hand the ball off to The Duke.

We have a true #1 in Coley and a solid #2 in Dorsett that can stretch the field, but remember he kinda is a one trick point albeit very good at that trick. He isnt very good in and out of his breaks. After that we have talent but lets not overreact as we have since 2009 when according to our fanbase we were a top 5 unit nationally. I will agree this is the best we have had in a while, and Coley is the main reason for that but outside of him the talent is decent but nothing that great. I do think before M Lewis' injury a one two punch of him and Coley would be a lethal combo that could make some noise, but lets see what happens with him this fall. Yes he looks better but its hard to put any stock into spring practice.

Agreed, outside of Coley I see a group of solid but not spectacular guys. I think some of our WR groups from 2009-2012 were better top to bottom.

You make a very reasonable argument, and I certainly would not go as far as saying we are Top 5 nationally. But would you say there is a better WR core in the ACC?

Is there a faster duo of WRs in the country than Coley and Dorsett?

I hope Berrios gets healthy enough to play meaningful minutes. He will be able to do a lot of damage with all the space those two will create.

Why the **** did you neg me? I didn't say we were a top 5 unit, rather then many on CS and CT thought we had a top 5 unit. I'm not even sure that is what you thought, but I can't figure out why?

Top to bottom I still like FSU and maybe even Clemson, until somebody steps up for us. Clemson's offense under Morris is really WR friendly.

The Coley effect makes this group even better IMO.

I know we've had some amazing years from guys like Hank and Hurns but those guys don't change the D the way Coley will.

Not that I'm telling you something you don't know.

Clemson WR talent is really dry now....Watkins and Bryant are both off to the NFL

Just wrote how nasty our WR core is in another thread. Hands down best 5 deep in the ACC.

we have been saying that since 08... outside of Coley and maybe Dorsett, no one has amounted to much. Talented group, but minimal production so far*** Could obviously change,

Top to bottom I'd take our receiving core over FSU and Clemson combined.
D'Mauri Jones has looked great this spring and he's third string.
Berrios, he of the 3.81 shuttle, and the quickest wr in America, is an afterthought.
Plus we have NJoku the big, tall high jumper coming too.

We can roll out Coley, Dorsett, Scott, waters, with Duke at RB and Walford at tight end.

Go 2 tight end with Walford and Dobard/Sandland mismatched against a safety or a linebacker and Coley and Dorsett scaring the crap out of every defensive coordinator, and have Duke flaring out against a lonebacker.

We are basically 3 deep at our skill positions.

If we get good qb play, we are going to be a scary offense.

Load up to stop Duke with 8 in the box, and get taken deep or torn apart in the seams.

Keep the safeties deep to protect against Coley and Dorsett, and Duke is going to tear you apart for 150-200 yards.

I wouldn't want to play defense against this team.
