5 Star RB Lorenzo Lingard names Miami as leader

It would be nice if some of the elite kids bought in early, to get the ball rolling this year, like Highsmith and Bratton did back in the day. They also believed in the coach, so hopefully, as long as the team doesn't ***** the pooch this season, they can turn some kids from Alabama and FSU this year.

That 2018 class is full of elite kids. Al Blades seems to be the best of the bunch and they have him rated lower than Jobe and Freierson at this point which tells you we have some beasts committed at Corner.

Blades Jr will blow up now that he is at STA. He will be a 5* once the dust settles.

Agree with you, just surprised he hasn't got a bump yet. Every camp clip I've seen him in he's blanketing receivers.

Hot **** when was the last time we led for a top RB? And what an awesome camp over the weekend. I have never seen so many positive articles in one morning than I have today!!

Umm wasn't Duke a high 4 or 5 star player out of HS?

It's a no brainier, we are RB U.

Explain that to Cook, Collins, Henry, Michel...etc.

Al Golden

Thank you.

True...however, we were still "RBU" right? RBU had nothing to do with Al Golden. It's what the U is. So saying Lingard would put the U on top just because the U is "RBU" isn't necessarily correct.

Actually it does explain that...
-Cook wanted to be the big dog and didn't want to sit behind Duke Johnson (wasn't expecting him to leave early). He also didn't want to end up possibly sharing carries with Yearby again. (This is not a rumor) He knew that if he went to UF or FSU that he would start by the end of his freshman season, wanted to stay in-state.
-Collins also factored playing time into consideration, since Duke had just finished breaking records as a freshman and was starting as a sophomore (rumor). Al Golden also sucked at recruiting while Collins had a eye for the SEC (not a rumor)
-Derrick Henry never gave miami the official visit because Nick Saban threatened to pull his offer if he did (Not a rumor). Even Saban was scared to lose him to us.
-Sony Michel...eh, Al Golden

247composite shows Duke as a 5 star player, #19 in the nation. He also won Mr Florida (pretty much the High school Heisman for Florida)

One thing to note on that interview...Aside from Geo saying that we have been leading for 2 months now...

He mentions us as his LEADER right now, coming straight off an Alabama visit 2 days ago (right after Paradise Camp). Also, no mention of FSU is weird considering some people considered him a FSU lock at one point.

I didn't say that. I don't think we ever had a 5 star RB in our history, and we are still RB U. Furthermore, I can see why any RB, nationwide, under Richt, would love to come this program. It's a no brainer.
I'm honestly confused with your post ... I might be reading it wrong ? .. Was Duke not a 5 star ??

Better to be his leader than a follower. Good news keeps on coming. The Giant has been awaken. College football knew that it was just a matter of time. More so what fsu and gates "feared". Their rosters are that more less talented with every top player we keep at home and pluck from around the state in their back yards.

He was a FSU lock till the Cook brother reclassified into 2018

Kid looks like a stud for a 10th grader. Breaks arm tackles at the LOS, wins foot races once he is past the second level. Do Want.
