I think the world has changed in a lot of areas, and this is one them, Clemson is going to discipline severely, they have no choice.

Unbelievable. Idiot is lucky no one was killed. 60mph over the **** 55mph speed limit? Did he have some **** to deliver or something? I hope they throw the book at him for his reckless behavior. And civil lawsuits too.

Is anyone really surprised with a generation growing up on Fast and Furious? That’s how they think life is supposed to be behind the wheel especially in a Charger where they automatically think they transform into Dominic Toretto. What 19 year old alpha isn’t going to test all that power at some point. Actually to be honest, we can‘t really say much considering the former players we have lost to reckless driving over the years. Jerome Brown, Al Blades (passenger while racing), JoJo Nicolas, Chris Campbell and Kendrick Norton walked away lucky.. without an arm but lucky. Granted they were all older and already in the NFL except for Campbell who was definitely on his way. We also got lucky with that charger rollover that injured Robert Marve, Jermaine McKenzie and Colin McCarthy when McKenzie supposedly fell asleep behind the wheel. Similarly, Jarrett Payton, Clinton Portis and Clint Hurtt walked away after hitting a guardrail. The last 2 examples were ruled accidental so I will go with that.

I’m sure there isn’t a person on here that hasn’t tested 100+ when there was some muscle under the hood. I’m not making excuses for the kid. He did a very stupid and dangerous thing. I’m glad he was able to walk away hopefully with a life lesson learned and I pray that those who were injured fully recover and money he gains in the future is partially given in the form of restitution. I guess I’m just suggesting that we shouldn’t be so quick to throw stones.

Lot of Clemson fans commenting with things like

He made a mistake....

He owned up to it and turned himself in lol

Pray for him.. until i finally saw someone remember the mail carrier

Clemson sophomore cornerback Fred Davis was arrested and charged with reckless driving after police say he collided with a mail truck, injuring two people in a crash last month, according to published reports by FOX Carolina and The State. Davis, 19, turned himself in Sunday to the Clemson Police Department.

Davis is accused of driving 60 miles over the posted speed limit July 21 when he collided with the rear of a U.S. Mail carrier on U.S. 123 in Clemson. Police said he was unable to stop due to his speed at the time. He was driving 115 mph in a 55 mph zone.

The force of the impact caused the mail truck to flip over into oncoming traffic. Two other vehicles then collided with each other while attempting to avoid the mail truck, WSPA TV reported. The Dodge Charger that Davis was reportedly driving then traveled over both lanes of traffic, went over a guardrail and came to rest on the shoulder of the highway. Two drivers were hospitalized as a result of the crash, WSPA TV said.

wow check out the video of the mail truck and car in the linked article...

"Clemson police are taking over this investigation."

I'll bet.

The mail truck flipped over and ended up in the other lane..

Still something is off, if you watch the video (or see screenshot below), the back of the mail truck is not really damaged, like at all, if a car hit it at 115, I imagine it be pretty smashed up and the report said witnesses said it was a head on crash due to a wrong lane driver. Possible it was due to it being flipped like you said, but I wonder if he was speeding around a slow car on one of those long *** one lane backwoods highways, went into the other lane, and hit the mail truck.
