This stings, but expected. Moreover, losing Riley highlights how imperative it is to have a staff in place that recognizes the importance of contingency plans. The flip of Jordan Lyle softens the blow here. Not to say the staff wouldn't take both, but having Lyle in the fold is that much more important. Remember when Al Golden put all of his eggs in the Matthew Thomas basket only to miss and have Skai Moore tell him to fck his own face in the final hour? Those days are over.
