Corey Collier is not a serious win at all.

The Gator have some South Florida wins over the years, kind of.

Major Wright, Del Speer, Aubrey Hill, and there was some linebacker in the early 90s whos name escapes me.

But they aint world beaters. I'd say their best ever from down here is Errict Rhett, at least in my lifetime.

This is facts.

Miami only ever recruited Collier Jr in conjunction with the rest of the Palmetto group, we didn’t want him at all though, he was just being recruited with Marshall, Taylor & B Smith so as to help our chances with Marshall (didn’t work obviously lol).

But our interest was minimal to non existent at best. He was an incredibly overrated Safety.

I’m in favor of just finding the best players we can regardless of if they’re outta towers & calling it day, all this fckin politicking & asskissin for local recruits has yielded us nothing but drama & headaches.

The old way of thinking we should just stay in South Florida for recruits should die. It’s so much easier to get film/ fly out to see kids from across the country that show way more interest in Miami than some guys a few miles away who will hold a grudge for years if Miami wasn’t his first offer.

We have to get our share of the best kids from right here, but our recruiting focus on the offensive trenches in particular MUST be expanded geographically.

There is zero way to upgrade our line just by banking on best South Florida kids.

There aren't enough of them to begin with, and we will never get them all. It's just math.

People forget our best teams were 50/50 not 80/20 like people make it out.

You know its bad when i the s.fla homer has reached this point as of last year.

It is what it is....we need to continue being a national brand and target some oos strongholds the same as we do locally.

UVA AND VA TECH flat out suceeded the stateof virginia and we didnt even make an attempt. UNC cleaned up with Dre Bly.

New Orleans kids are always there for the take and we never go there. (glad we got Landon) but i wanna be in the city of new orleans. They love miami there...similar cities.

Also GO BACK TO NEW JERSEY AND BASED ON THE SUCCESS OF TVD ...ill say someone should sniff around the NYC/CT prep schools for a kid every class.

S.Fla will have to be supplemented...this is a cesspool and thinkng Mario will LOCKdown something other than the first class bump will be setting yourself up for failure.

Just think about it..Likens i think randomly pulled a kid out of San Diego who at wr looks just as good as our s.fla skills guys...theres guys at other positions out there similarly.

100% Agree I don't care where the roster is from find talent and make talent work hard for each other. Bama does it all the time. Young is from Cali, which couldn't be more different than Will Anderson from GA..

More like 60/40 but the message there is not that sofla doesn’t have the talent - the message is we need to expand our recruiting geographies. Occasional Cali, Dallas/Houston, nola/Louisiana, occasional northeast (PA/NJ), Hampton roads. For every 20 that we sign each class, 6-8 should be from those areas and the rest in state. That’s it, that’s the map.

Absolute cesspool. The kids are mostly good kids and talented players, but the parents, handlers and street agents are poison. It will be tough to win with kids who are poisoned by these aholes.

I’m pretty well versed with those CT/MA prep schools. They got coaches recruiting kids almost nationally now.

The coach from St. Thomas More left to Loomis Chaffee. They got fbs kids littered on both sides of the ball. BC was telling me they got some twins/brothers from Kentucky. Will prob be SEC guys. My old teammate is a big time QB coach in New England and his/their QB Dante Reno is a stud. From Boston has like 8 FBS offers and he’s a 2024.Their OT just got offered by Bama.

Doesn’t include the likes of Suffield Academy, Lawrence Academy, Cheshire Academy, Choate, Deerfield, Avon Old Farms, BB&N that typically each put out Atleast a couple FBS kids a year.

They have no respect for um that’s why they think that Miami only took Miami guys back then and that every kid should have a um offer if they’re down here and if they don’t it’s Csz um is *** and then they would only come here if they don’t have other choices
