Yup.Because evaluations are not solely based off of going against subpar WRs. They are evaluating based off of group drills, individual drills, team meetings along with what they do when they go against the WRs. Not to mention incoming class, Tyriqe and Porter not here as well.
Also if they felt WR room was so subpar as you stated we would have seen them attempt to address it like they did with the D line room. But based on the actions of this staff, they believe WR room is good with what they have and incoming class but does need an upgrade or 2, and not a complete overhaul like they did with the D line
Also to add to your list Steele has mentioned that certain players are coach-able and they want to learn and he can tell they love football.
Add all of those intangibles up along with certain things they emphasize within the film room and it makes it easier for coaches to be enthusiastic.
Contrary to popular belief around here the mental aspect and the coach-able aspect and maturity of a player is important. Of course talent is very important but that is just one variable.
If Steele and Addae think each player can play well within a certain role/roles then I trust their judgement. Even if it is just based off of one Spring.
