JD is fast becoming one of the worst hires, maybe the worst, in the history of Miami athletics. The scale of it isn’t as bad because most people couldn’t care less about college baseball.

Other notable coaching failures like Golden, Perry Clark, and Randy Shannon, had some success prior to getting the HC gig, and you could at least make an argument for why they were hired. There was zero reason for JD to be hired for this job. No pedigree or success to speak of. Pitching coach for a program that’s had a lack of quality pitching for years.

Yes, I was comparing it to the Perry Clark hire, which really did suck especially with who we had a legit chance with. Very similar to this situation with having Pollard ready. Man, what a disaster of a hire. And everyone knew it.

Say we win some games to close out the season 12-18 in the ACC, and 26-30 overall. How in the **** are you going to allow him to come back for another year?
The NIL $ will be gone. Players will be leaving like Cyr and Cuvet. Attendance will be good awful the rest of the season.
This is not going to end well for this staff.

Imagine the suck tax of trying to get any good players to come play for JD. In one year the guy may have made good Miami baseball unaffordable.

I don’t know what worse the 1 run on 1 hit to a BCC pitcher with a 9 + era or the pitching with 7 walks and 3 HBP in 3 2/3.
